4x4 Canter at the Watagans || Green Brake Trail
We tackle the Green Brake Track located in the Watagans sate forest in our Mitsubishi (Fuso) Canter 4wd, pretty satisfaying track, made our way up flexing through with the occasional help of the front diff locker.

spectacular truck, beauty travel.
“There goes our ride” 😂😂😂 That was incredible to watch. Such an incredible machine and nice navigating by the driver, but damn, that rig took a beating.
The angles you put this thing on are bloody impressive. good job, its great to watch!

Truly amazing driving mate and an amazing rig. You’re inspiring me too hurry up and build my own! I’ve done this exact track twice and I know it can be tricky with one small error. Nice drive mate.

Thanks mate! Yeah can be tricky but definitely can be done with the big rigs. Good luck with your build 👍🏻👍🏻
Nice video! The amount of flex is incredible!! Awesome mate!! 👏
What a drive! Your suspension works so well 😍
Impressive vehicle. Enjoyed the video.
Cracking video and rig mate. This is exactly what I want to build! Thanks for sharing. You've got to put us out of our misery and do a detailed walk-through video!!
Furniture truck cross hell ha ha! Amazing!
First time in KZread watching history, I like a video before watching it. I knew I my jaw was going to be dropped for the entire 23min. Again, thanks for all the effort making these intense footage. I also love how you told that fender who's boss :)

Thanks mate! It means heaps. And yeah that fender will think about it twice next time 😅
Awesome adventures and nice camera work, that Canter its a beast!! Love it. More chassis camera edition, its very pleasant look suspension working.
Never know the leaf springs have such flexibility, incredible!
Great unit there mate ! Love it 😎👌

Awesome!... 4x4xfar! 👍
As painful as it is to watch good equipment being trashed with a number of things broken , this shows the Mitsubishi canter is a very capable 4x4 making it through sections that would leave a 79 behind ,
Yeah buddy! Drive it like you stole it!
👍👍👍
wow
Great video ! Awesome keep it up. What suspension are you running? TIA

Thanks! Springs are SSA with schas shocks, gives us a 5 inch lift

bloody awesome vid mate, did you make the rear box springs to allow chassis flex or were they bought? I've looked at the AAV unit with the fuel tanks built in but shit its expensive.

Hi mate, yeah I built that myself, very similar to the aav, however they use steel angle and I used rhs so in my opinion way better option to keep the canopy straight and let the springs do the flexing. If you understand the concept it's not hard to do it only takes a bit of welding
Really enjoyed this. Nice shot of the sprung flex connection under the tray. Appreciate all the effort to run, shoot, and edit. Have you posted suspension info for this rig anywhere? Saw your note about the e-locker, any other upgrades to note? Got FG project and am mighty inspired by yours. Thanks!

Hi mate, thanks it means a lot, most of the build is documented on Instagram, specially the first posts, @instacanter, but I'll probably make a run down video soon ish explaining all the moods there are too many to put down right now, suspension is SSA with schas shocks, more heavy dutty but very smooth. Hopefully I get a bit of time soon and make that video. Good luck with your build mate 👍🏻👍🏻

@@4wtruckingaus654 good stuff thanks for the info and link. Saw you added Teflon to the stock springs... did you get rid of them and get new springs from SSA or is the teflon with stock still holding up? Brilliant solution.
@4wtruckingaus654

@@forename_surname So the teflon is in the SSA springs, I got rid of the standard leafs a long time ago, I've had the SSA springs with the added teflon for just over 2 years and zero dramas
Hey mate, what an inspirational truck! you didn’t use winch this time since you got front diff locker? i’m just about purchasing ATB front diff locker and Sherpa winch 17,000LBS, 28 meters of rope from ATW for my FG637. You reckon is this winch good enough? What about how do you like your eLocker?
@4wtruckingaus654

Thanks mate! Yeah the front locker makes a massive difference, I'd have to winch in a couple of spots if it wasn't for it. I got the harrop elocker, it's a proper full locker, I'd go that way instead of the ATB. About the winch, I'm about to swap my Sherpa for a Runva 20000 I have only had dramas with the Sherpa
More vids!!!!
Just like Will Smith as he was flying the alien spaceship in the movie "INDEPENDENT DAY" I've got to get me one of these..!!!
I have been eyeing off an old Canter or Isuzu to build into a tourer for a long time! How does it go on the highway? Can it do 95-100km/h? And how are the seats in the back? Is it rough for passengers in there? Thank you, loved the video!
@4wtruckingaus654

It's actually more comfortable at the back since the seats are not straight over the front axle like the front seats. They're pretty comfy, I wouldn't complain. She can seat at 100kph all day no problem, I got a fine once for doing 112 in an average speed camera, so it can go faster but definitely 100kph is the most comfortable and efficient speed

is the underbody on this thing stock?
I know this is an old video but what year is that canter? I'm looking at a 2001 model so not sure how that would compare.

Hi mate, this is a 2007, so it has the 3.9 factory turbo, the 2001 would look pretty similar and have the plain 4.2

40 inch Mt Gladiators on 17 inch AAV rims
Are you ever worried about tipping over? Also do you have plans on getting wider tires or offset rims to have a wider stance?
@4wtruckingaus654
2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I do a bit, I always pick the lines depending on that even if it means harder lines. No plans for a different tyre set up, the rims I have at the moment give me a wider base already and the Gladiators are 40x13.5 inch so a bit wider than the usual, I find this a good set up for the truck. I still use it as a daily on the roads so can't go too hectic
Why have you stopped vlogging?
when is your next video??? 😊👍
