that looked like a blast. I just got mine last week, a '98 4wd 2.5td. can't wait to take it up into the icelandic mountains and camp out every weekend this summer

My God I wish KZread was around when I had my l300 can, it had 33x9.5 mud terrains and a astron 2600 engine with many many mods. I've owned so many awesome cars and my l300 was one of my favourites ever :-) :-)

Nice video. I am considering 4x4 vans to replace my current 4x4 travel vehicle. Have you modified the suspension? It looks taller than any L300 I've seen in person.

The Traveling Together Journal I am as tall as all other L300's with 31" tyres. Maybe I just look tall with that awning case sticking out a bit.

I use airbags to help the front suspension when needed. And 2" lift at the rear by aftermarket leaf springs.

Hi does QPD number plate have stock suspension? Just curious if it has Diff locks or LSD

The best manual hubs are Aisin which you can find on some of the Triton and Pajero's. AVM is pretty good too. Don't go for cheap eBay ones, they are 100% crap.

I made my own brackets which are pop riveted straight onto the roof. I locally reinforced the roof from the inside.

What engine does the L300 with the "DAZ" license plates have?

DAZ runs a newer 2.4 l efi petrol engine, also with 16-valves but with the loose coil packs

We enjoy playing with the toys, finding their limits without breaking them. Over time we found the limits are even more extreme than we thought.

....another reminder of all the great vans we do not get in North America because of the stupid "chicken tax"...
