This is one of the best modified episodes I’ve seen. Awesome seeing a totally different vehicle.

My Dad had a L300 and we travelled across Australia several times. To this day, he still tells stories to friends about that car. It never missed a beat and we put 300,000km on ours. Incredible van.

The Medina sign is super random, but here's an interesting fact. Medina in Arabic means "city" and is the second holiest city on Earth for Muslims. Love your channel, great set-up!

I've never clicked on a Modified so quick. Love the interesting/quicky/uncommon builds.
Really nicely done, I've been waiting for so long for a 4x4 van on modified. Pls do more.
Such underrated machines. Love the boxy style and no real compromise off-road. Love it.
The price of L300s just skyrocketed. Well done on the build.
I assume you get a lot of comments about owning such an old car, but referencing one of my previous posts, it was one of the most durable, fun and reliable vehicles we ever owned. So impressed what you have done. One of kind. Incredible.
I had one off them during my travels through Australia and is still miss my van L300 4x4 best van too travel with
It's so good seeing someone taking the time and putting some real love into a L300, so well done young fella you should be mighty proud of what you have achieved and hats off to you again Ronny for another great modified video 👍 Now If my memory is correct which it may possibly not be the L300 Delica came out to Australia as a grey import around 1988 or there abouts and it came with the 2.5L diesel. It also had the high roof as standard as well as rear coil suspension.
@lachlankerr7339

Most of that is right mate - only thing is the rear suspension is a leaf spring setup :)

as my old man used to call his, the BMW (Brown Mitsubishi Wagon). $60k on the old L300, you definitely got to love it. top build. Haven't watch one of these in a long time, definitely peeked my interest.
Super cool van. I love when ppl. love their less common 4WD. I have a Suzuki GV and a Prado 150. The Prado is great but, for some reason, the Suzi has my heart. Again, super cool van.
15L per is what most diesels get so I wouldn't be complaining about it . He's doing alright and seems like he's got a very well set up rig.
Best modified I've seen so far, Love the different builds
I'm glad to see the softer Off Road vehicles such as vans getting a mention as these tend to be better for getting Disabled folk into off being able to go overland.
The best jdm van out there. The real all terrain vehicle.
I owned one in the nineties, great van, drove it around with 8 mountainbikes on the roof for my travel company, no problem. Best 4x4 van ever build
My dad had a 90s toyota hiace. Loved that vehicle. So spacious. Concerning the feeling of being on top of the front axel, I definitely agree with you mate, it's nice to know where your wheels are being placed offroad. Concerning using up to 50k to 60k dollars into this vehicle, that's actually pretty cool. Newer vehicles from factory you can spend over 70k dollars. Look at the new land cruiser 79 series it used to be 75k AUD now its 85k AUD and its still bare bones stock. Thought he'd complain about the stability of these vans but by looking at how he's driving offroad it doesn't seem to be a problem. Awesome motivation love these vans.
As someone living out of a Delica (L400) right now, I found your setup really good - well done. Thanks Ronny for finally bringing a "Delica" on modified.
Dude. This is one of the best custom-modified vans I have seen. Brilliant!
Great realistic (for us wage slaves) simple, practical & very capable vehicle for getting to, living in comfortably and enjoying remote places. Love it.
One of the most enjoyable modified's I've seen Ronny. Fascinating vehicle, interesting owner and good old banter thrown in. Perfect recipe for good viewing. Great job!! 👍
What a rig! As a VW 4WD T3 Syncro lover it’s great to see a van on the channel.

Great setup! Good to see old vehicles being brought back to life.
Miss my Express L300 4x4. Traveled Australia in 1997 for 2 years. Never let me down. Loved it and it drove over everything. Loved it miss it
My asshole puckered so tight on that hill decent just watching, how that didn't go over is a prayer. Imagine kitting up a sick van that much to roll it going down a hill while filming... I would have been absolutely gutted. Scary scary. Only downfall of these older vehicles are that in a van their engines are absolutely shit house, no power, wheel bases are shit, no clearance, carbies are thirsty AF. I think they're awesome if you've got the pockets, otherwise they're more suited to an easy weekender and road tripper. Sick episode definitely!
I know a bloke who inherited a Delica and threw in a V8. Everything else is stock and when he tried to drive at rainbow beach the power of the new engine twisted the chassis

The diff would blow before the chassis would twist.
Saw this thing on the road a few months ago, an eye catcher for sure. Killer van, great episode!
1st evet car I drove, and it was at "wonngatta station" in the high country of Victoria, my dad was testing it for a magazine called "motor manual" great to see this L300 out there, Awesome!
Awesome! I airways loved these 4x4 L300's. When I was a kid growing up in Darwin there was a guy called Lobo that built heavily modified L300 vans with huge lift kits abs massive tyres. They looked so sick but I would think they would roll over easy lol
Apparently they have always been called the *Delica* since 1968, naturally the models were renamed (and even rebadged) for different markets, what I found interesting was they were still being built in Indonesia and the Phillipines which goes to show their popularity 👍
Sweet ride. I did a custom radiator build for one of these many years ago. It had a 302 Windsor V8 in it.
Roof rating is 150KG according to Mitsubishi. I looked into building a L300 once that's why I know.
nice to see a l300. I bought a 84 4x4 pre covid for touring australia and I live in the states. One of my dream rigs. Been sitting there during the bs. Hoping to get down there this year and get it sorted for touring. Fantastic rigs. Basically a swb pajero with a sexy body
It's really good to see old and different model 4x4s and people do them that's awesome 😁 I'm sick of seeing new 4x4s they all look the same
Memories!! Had a L300 High roof 2WD - best car for its time!
Love this build.......not long until my 2003 Delica BLACK BETTY is fully complete. Look forward having my van life.
Awesome van well done .Thanks Ronny
I owned one of these for about 5 years. It was moded before I bought it with big lift, big tyres, 1.8L conversion and diy burgundy paint job (lots of paint drips every where). Loved it but it was a nightmare. Totally gutless for a ridiculous 15l/100km, only just able to keep at hwy speeds, died on any slight incline. helped my cousin move house and loaded the old bus up, when I got to the new house I couldn't drive up the drive way even in low range, I remembered reverse was a lower gear again so managed to reverse up in low range. Lot's of trips and lots of stories in the old bus. But it started to overheat badly and was sick of the lack of power. Have owned a prado for the last 19 years, but still have a soft spot for the l300 4x4 ❤
Soundtrack hit me with the feels! 2022 it's going to be a good year! go the van!
Absolutely love it. My parents had the parent car. Mitsubishi Starwagon which was also an L300 express, great cars. Go anywhere
great to see a 4WD van, can you check out more of them? shame we don't get more in Australia.
Hahaha, typical L300 van horn. Awesome Lil Van's. Swap it out for a later model one, around 89/90 year's. The horn buttons in the center instead of near the rim.
That's one nice L300 ! Congrats 👏
This thing is awesome, gotta love the horn while wheeling 😂
Wow wow wow “ beautiful fun off roading !”
Probably my favourite modified!! I don’t even like vans but this L300 is bloody awesome! Nice to see something different and it definitely is bloody different. 🤙🏼

That's a neat little thing, van-life in compact package! The guy obviously got used to it, but the offroading shots look definitely top-heavy. I hope that one day you will present some nice VW T3 Syncro too! 🙂
The first 4wd i went in as a kid in the 80's was an L300, it rescued a bogged statesman.
Cool cute Minivan, Mitsubishi L300 looks like a 1986 Toyota Van that I like too, Same type MPV
Fantastic build. 18:18 That's one flat leaf set.
Love your work. Awesome Delica.
What a awesome set up. Good job
I had a couple of L300s back in the day. I loved them but they were mechanical nightmares, although they weren't as bad as the Ford Spectron that cost an arm and a leg to keep running.

Great episode.
There is some really good ideas in this video. Thanks. We don't have many of these in the US. We never get any of the good stuff here in the US. I have opted for the AWD Astro (modifiable to true 4x4 with a transfer case swap). They can be had pretty cheap here and are close to the same size. Thanks for making a van video!

An Astro is way way bigger than these, I'd love to get one of them to travel Aus in!
What a sweet rig.
Here's an idea. Once you get a Delica for a modified episode get him to do the same as the bloke that kept saying it's a delica. If you could pull it off that would be awesome. I know he travels a lot, but it would be really cool and funny if he could do it and say something along the lines of nice L300 or the L300 is better.
I like this van !
My folks had one when I was young, capable 4wd. God damn that beach pic makes me miss my hometown of Esperance.
Clicked on real quick, that music was great. I thought it was going to roll for sure.
What a cool setup
Mad old van 👍. Needs reduction gears due to the larger tyres. You can see how tall his gearing is.
That's mint ha ha ha, what a great episode, I like the horn works on wheel lifts ha ha hq, great stuff guys 10/10
I've got the same van exact year! The only difference is mine is the high top version which I prefer.
1984 SC L300's did not come out with 4G63 they were 4g62 1.8 from SD and on 4G63 The 1.8 had a lot of balance shaft issues but othewise nice build Worked on many when there were released and owned 2
