🚆 4K Cargo cab ride hopping from hub to hub (Cab Ride Switzerland | Lenzburg - Wangen bei Olten)

We are back in the modern Siemens Vectron and ready to pull our train from the Schafisheim/Hunzenschwil main hub to the Wangen bei Olten hub. It's a quick ride through the Swiss plateau, carrying mainly food and daily goods for further distribution. Fast, efficient, and environmentally friendly, it is a smart way to distribute goods through the country. Join me in the cab and enjoy the ride!
Please note this video doesn't show the first part of the operation from the Schafisheim hub to Lenzburg.

What a pleasant, short trip. Just the sort of job to begin the working day (but I doubt it was). The image of the IC leaning into the curve was one a lineside photographer would sell his soul for. It could never be captured otherwise.

I still exciting to wait when that Olten IC express train will over take your cargo train again. I was travel your country by SBB train , it is clean , efficient and all the train looks new compare with DB😂.

It is not often on video the Hammer sidings are empty. Usually have track maintenance vehicles of some sort waiting for access to the depot just down the line?

Schone kurze Tour. Und ist ja wirklich kurz. Lenzburg - Wangen = 26,7 km. Lenzburg - Hunzenschwil = 3,5 km. = 30,2 km. Der Zug fuhr nur mit 100 km/h? Sah aber schneller aus. Und der IC/EC. . . hat aber auch ganz schön Mühe gehabt, vorbeizuziehen. 👍🚉🚆🚂
do you drive mostly with zub or etcs in Switzerland?

It depends on the type of train used and the route. In this video, everything was driven under Integra Signum and ZUB supervision.

That figure was given just after the start of the film: it was given as 125%.

A figure that tells how fast a train can come to a stop. Modern passenger trains have between 135 - 180%, freight trains can have as low as 50%. Braking ratio therefore defines the vmax for the whole train and for all segments of the route.
