Oh that first story reminds me of some aggravating stories I’ve dealt with regarding buying models from Amazon. I may bundle them all together for a Hobby Nightmare (especially since most of them are more of a continuous story). but another one involved me being sent Nagash when I ordered a box of Blue & Brimstone Horrors

In Old World (don't know how well this applies to Fantasy since it was dead when I discovered Warhammer) certain mounts add stats to your base model, usually Wounds and Toughness

When I first got into WH40k I bought two start collecting Imperial Guard boxes for like $35 each and I fell hook line and sinker and had immediate buyers remorse. I never got the models lol

:), always did like limited resources deck I used..... way back now. Was fun to see how others coped without a lot of land.

Nice story with the orc warboss😂 Did something like that for 40k with a terminator captan on a bike. But he was not a glass cannon, the guy had 2+, 2+ with a re-roll, 2+ FNP and ethernal warrior.

First story is why I only do the local in person pick ups on Market place. The last story, it sounds like the typical magic interactions I've observed while playing at the warhammer table. Those magic guys get aggressive when things go wrong. Not all, but a good portion of the players I've seen. Just don't understand it

The MTG story: Diesel shouldn’t have committed to wiping the board without a plan to end the game within 3 turns or so, or a subsequent spell to prevent one or more of his own resources from being destroyed.

I've never seen a game of magic end any other way, everyone mad at each other and a sour feeling in the air

That’s too bad. I’ve had years of fun with a few friends and acquaintances. It’s much like North’s view on 40k, you need to choose your opponents carefully (and the format you play in).

That reminds me, I have a Knight Questoris I need to get rid of. I have no intention of assembling and painting it anymore and I got it 50% off at a store closing. I just hate Ebay, though.

I think maybe the guys thought process in the first story would have been the same as mine. I would have contacted both too, and seeing as i would have returned the model and would have needed a new one. And it would have cost methe regulqr amount i would have offered to just buy it for the correct price.

Found a FB marketplace deal. Spent 2 weeks trying to meet the guy - wouldnt respond to me. Couple days ago he responded saying he sold the models out from under me 😂 dude lived 1hr away and was willing to meet him wherever. Traveling/working/i dont want to meet you late. Unfortunate af

I think he’s getting his games mixed up. I started with orks in second edition of Warhammer 40 K and a ork character could take as wargear a cyboar . Back then you could take three pieces of war gear and so that’s what he did . Warhammer fantasy had a worse problem. Characters could take a mount from the monsters list and that ranged from anything from a harpy to a dragon. I don’t know how you ride a harpy and I suggest you don’t google it either .

Never played MTG, play YGO about daily though. Always seemed weird to me when MTG players complain when a strategy stops them from playing, in YGO... we say use a better deck/strategy. We have decks that block out every single monster zone too lmfao

13:40 Northern, i submitted the Fantasy story. I tried to get the gist of the double-mount across without getting too far into the weeds but i think i failed. Essentially i was taking advantage of an oversight in the rules that violated a fundamental concept of the game. Namely that a character only has oneAss therefore can only sit on one mount. It was such an assumed concept in Fantasy, every time I played a new person everything screeched to a halt while i proved to them there was no rule in the Book that limited a character to a single mount.

Not sure why he paid the full price as that means the store would have made money from the sale. Either covering the cost of the loss to them or sending back would have been fair. Respect though.

The only thing I can think of is the minimum price agreement with gw. They can't sell anything less than 80%? RRP otherwise they'll lose their supplier. (They can effectively make it cheaper by including free goodies). It's weird though as this shouldn't have gone through as a sale. It's just theft.

1st story. Bruh, over the top. You paid their “sale price”. The most they should have accepted from you is the current stocking price. And they had no right to ask. If I’m T boned at an intersection by a drunk driver and he pushes my jeep into another vehicle, I’m not buying the guy I was pushed into a new car. We were both victims of the same ass hole regardless of who was hot first or hardest. I think dude let his conscience go over board. I’d have stocking price. Not a “sale price”, the stocking price or they could send me a prepaid shipping box that o could return the product in. I may not be the devil but I also ain’t no saint.

the dude paid the store more than he intended to pay... should have simply returned the model and kept your own $70.. you basically paid the scammer, and paid store for being stupid and ate all the consequences because of your ego...? lol you are doing too much. the store needs to learn a lesson. an opened box would have been enough.. i bet you built the whole model while waiting to hear back from the store lol, felt silly and offered full price to the store because you couldn't send it back😂 but yeah the story is a missing some sense thats for sure
