It's a good design and it holds up nicely. I have used it many times. Thanks for sharing the design.
The leather stamps should be thicker (or use a backing like a metal washer) so that the clamping force will be evenly distributed over the whole area of the stamp.

It can be strong and reliable. It depends which filament you use and what for.

The leather was moisturize before I used the stamps. The results also depends on what leather you use.
