3 Review Game Ideas for Math Classrooms to Increase Student Engagement

Are your students tired of playing the SAME math review games before an upcoming assessment or end-of-grade test? Are you struggling to find review games that aren't a management nightmare and allow for deep thinking in math (i.e. games that aren't a race to see who can do the math the fastest)? If so, you're in the right place! In this video, I share three things to consider when choosing review games AND I share three of my favorite review games to play with students.

Do you have written directions for the games you talked about in the video? I'm assuming there are directions in the TPT bundle.

In mystery swap, is it every time they get an answer right they can switch point value cards with another group?

It depends on how many problems you are having students solve before you come to check their work... Each time you check their work and all their problems are correct, they get to swap 1 card with another group :)

You may be already doing this, but using online platforms will be the easiest for you! I know I mentioned Quizizz, but teachers in our community have also said they love Blooket! I'm not familiar with it, but it may be something new to try :)
