ESL icebreakers are a quick and easy way to warm-up students , help them get to know you, their fellow classmates and become comfortable with their new surroundings.
Here are 4 fun and easy ice-breaker game ideas for young ESL learners using a soft ball which can be played from the first day of class.

We coul also pass the ball and repeat aloud the names of those before us...each one...repetition helps amd then they throw the ball calling the name....i love it Or with the imaginary ball and animals nouns...one can throw and who catches can mime the animal and others guess😅😂

@@danylapignotti2492 sounds great! Go for it!! Imaginary ball works really well especially when it becomes different sizes and weights. I find though starting off simple is a good idea to avoid confusing or overwhelming young learners with too many instructions and when students are more familiar with each other's names then switch it up:)

I always use these games. Normally I use a puppet. I have a lightbulb and it's perfect, because they know that only the person who has the lightbulb can speak
