Here is MY Dave Chappelle story: I was watching "Sticks and Stones" on Netflix when it came out. It was probably the second stand up special I had ever seen by Dave, and I hadn't quite made up my mind whether I liked him or not yet. The R.Kelly joke comes on and he says something like "there is no such thing as a good 36 year old pussy!" I am a woman, and I was 39 at the time, and my reaction to that was to actually say out loud to the TV "fuck you, Dave Chappelle!" And then Dave said "..and if you are at home, watching this shit on Netflix, remember bitch, YOU clicked on my face!" I died! Never had a conversation with a recording before! that's when I knew Dave Chappelle was the GOAT. I have loved him ever since! Seen everything he has done, since then, and I have mad respect for him as a storyteller and a human being!

I'm convinced that DeRay Davis is actually Anthony Davis's alter ego with a shaved unibrow
DeRay's story about Dave and how he helped him get through a tough time rlly uplifted me =)
Damn, crazy how all these comedians knew each other before they got famous. Gotta make sure I keep friends that have potential 😇

Not potential, they were already successful in their early twenties (teens for Dave). The only people who were regulars at comedy clubs are already established. Its the same reason half of silicone valley founders know each other, because they were classmates at Stanford, Harvard or MIT. Be successful yourself, life will take you to places where you meet others like you.

@@stevenw2933 To be fair it is a bit of both. You need to be capable enough to claim opportunities, but knowing the right people also makes more of those opportunities turn up in the first place.

The "I'm in the same boat" joke got me
Why I thought this tribute much more looks like an eulogy for Dave Chapelle like that guy is already dead 😂
The end was epicly great🤣
Dave's jokes have me 🤣 🤔🤨 all at once.
Dave is one of the most truthful person On earth .Dave makes his point even while he makes you laugh
I'm happy he getting flowers when he can still appreciate them. This is the way to go.There's hope after all.
