    I was in the audience that night. When Heidi breaks after seeing Mikey’s face, Ryan Gosling and Chloe Fineman were absolutely losing it off-camera. At one point, Gosling buried his face in his hands and rocked back and forth in his chair.

    This shit is golden. I know some ppl inevitably gonna shit on the cast breaking character, but I totally take it as a sign of respect and reverence of the comedic gold that Beavis and Butthead are just as a concept. Every cast member for sure remembers Beavis and Butthead and how crazy weird and funny they were. They are all just feeling the tickle, and that's gold.

    I saw somewhere that the writers kept pitching this for a few years and it kept ending up on the floor.. until they underhandedly pitched it to Ryan himself and he insisted on doing it. I’m so glad they did it with Ryan because it was perfect

    I’m tired of SNL and all their character breaking. A lot of it seems forced to get extra laughs. It’s very unprofessional and annoying! Most of the time SNL is not funny so I wouldn’t be surprised if they are encouraged to “break.” There are exceptions of course like with Heidi and this sketch where it’s justifiable, but again, this happens way too often.

Jimmy Fallon made this his whole career. If its even remotely funny, someone will break character. Makes the audience laugh more.

    I just moved from Garland, Texas. Which was Mike Judge's insperation for King of the Hill's Arland. Beautiful lawns in the front and driveways and wooden fences in the back along the alley. Great place to live. 😄

    Some of the non-verbal actions are what make this sketch work so well. Kenan's eye squint as he first sees Gosling as Beavis is low key hilarious. Gosling's choice to look around confused after Kenan notices him kept the laughs coming. The best however was Mikey making his eyes even wider when Heidi looks back and makes her probably lose it even more.

    One of the hardest jobs has to be being an extra on this show. It's awesome watching so many of them keep it together but with small cracks in their mouth to keep from laughing.

    This was highly entertaining. I guess Heidi hadn't seen the finished product. Best moment at 3:05 when Mikey anticipates her turn around and widens his eyes to really deliver the full look to her, causing the meltdown. EDIT: Kenan's mic is on and you can hear him saying "oh god" in a laugh when she breaks.
