I had my second dose yesterday Apr 8th. My transplant Oct 2005. My arm is noticable sore today. I'm concerned about the recent John Hopkins study regarding efficacy, or lack of in solid organ transplant patients, but after only the first dose. Only 17% had a measurable covid antibody levels in the blood. I fear I will have to continue maximum precautions.

Yes I've read that too and it is concerning how low it seems our protection is at the moment! Hoping for some more research data to be released soon

Yes I have had the vaccine and my health has been good since. I am having a test in a few weeks to see if I have any antibodies to see how much I am protected.

Transplant Fitness That’s so nice to hear... Actually, I am also on prednisolone medication because of orbital pseudotumor. I was initially given with 55mg dose a day and gradually reduce to now 5 mg a day. So, I have been taking 5mg prednisolone dose from last one year. So, I just wanted to know from you that is it safe to take covidshield vaccine and also continue with my prednisoline? I am bit nervous about the vaccine and your guidance will be very helpful... thanks in advance
What’s the best advice you can give on the transplant, because I’m donating my kidney to my mom what’s it like after the transplant is it painful and what’s the recovery time (I work in a garage as a mechanic)?
