As a matter of fact, this is not "Just Jane", but "Just Jeanne", a British lady with a French touch, specially in her nose. Hope to see the Brit lady back soon. Thank you, Neville and crew!

Nice to see the wing complete again and good seeing the demo on fractions, I used to love teaching maths and fractions as an instructor at RAF Cosford working with the trainee aircraft and ground electronics guys

4.76mm, not 4.8!!😂 We removed a dingy from WR963 a few weeks back. Been in there since 1991, and wasn't in good condition anymore.
Yet another masterclass in action !! Thanks Nev and the team.

Thankyou Nev for this latest video, the information these guys give is wonderful, like me i would think that Metric measurement in class at school was something we had never heard of,so you can see that the up and coming people who will hopefully keep these old aircraft airworthy really needs to know. Please keep your videos coming mate they are great and again thankyou so much.Take care.
Another very interesting update. Particularly liked the 'rivet of the week' info and the life raft information.

Beware the "Golden Rivet" lol
Thanks for the update Neville. Very interesting again. Good look to Dave on his 10k run this sunday for the St Barnabas Hospice. A truely wonderful hospice who do so much for so many people in their time of need. Good to hear from Phil about the first aid box, the rivets and also the rescue dinghy. I didn't realise where it was situated so thanks to him and also Norman. Cannot wait to hear some more about it in a future update. Well done to all the gang again for their fine work and as also to you Neville for all the effort you put into these updates each week. Looking forward to your next installment. Best wishes to you and everyone there at east kirkby.👍
Nevile. I can't thank you enough for the effort you put into documenting an amazing project.

You need a static alligator jaw riveter (pneumatic) on site for putting iin the L shape doublers on the frames. I used to do that exact job at Short brothers. Hundreds a day. Once it's set up it's easy and repeatable. Some moly sealant between components would increase corrosion resistance too
Brilliant and so informative. Thanks, Nev.
Rivet of the week? Gun of the week? I look forward to the _ _ _ _ of the week in future episodes. Seriously, great information about the Rivets as well as the rest of the video. Thanks Neville.
I was completely riveted by by this vidio mate !
Great update again Neville thank you. Interesting rivet detail from Phil. Re assembly progress on Jane is coming along and Stickies update interesting re engines and fuel line checking details.

Great video Neville , very interesting to see what's happening on Just Jane . Can see why it's taking so long to rebuild her with basically having to rebuild parts of the French Lancaster as well to swap over on to Just Jane so they can rebuild those parts of the aircraft . Nice one Neville.
Thanks Neville! cheers from Hugh.

The thousands of hours "Just Jane " has donated to the French aircraft is not without advantage . "Suddenly ! " East Kirby has become the world leader in Lancaster restoration . Perhaps Kermit Weeks will consider donating his Lancaster to East Kirby . He's already acknowledged he will never restore his . .....worth a thought . Thankyou Neville .

Kermit donating his would be fab, but I'm sure it'd be a nightmare trying to find somewhere to store it.

Dave (1?). I notice the aero foil on your Lancaster wing is upside down. I imagine this is an engineers solution to prevent unplanned take off while running in wind! :)
Fantastic Neville thank you.
Neville thank you. I always look forward to your latest update. A quick question on rivets. In the excellent tutorial it was all about imperial sized rivets. Are metric rivets sized in the same way. The imperial rivets were base 1/32 what do they use for metric?

Thank you Neville. That was a very complete and very surprising answer. So imperial measurements live on!
Is there a link to the french lancaster anywhere, thank you.
They still teach fractions at school .
4/32 is not 1/4. It's 1/8. Edit. Oops he corrected himself...! By the way, children do still learn how to simplify fractions at school.
