Mitchell Hooper in his rookie season wins the Arnold AND the World's Strongest Man championships in 2023....becoming only the 4th man in the world to win both contests in the same year, and he is only 27 years old! Cant wait to see what he does in the future!

Goes to prove that being solid in all events is key. Mateusz won THREE of 5 events, Mitchell won ZERO of them, but finishing strong in all 5 means he takes home the gold. Well done!
Its great to see Mateusz Kieliszkowski in action again🇵🇱

Safe to say Mitchell hooper conquered the strongman world in 2023, he has won the 2 biggest comps in the same year. Hyped to see what he gets up to in the future
Man, mateusz is so hard on himself, to come back and perform at that level after 2 years injured is insane! Can’t wait to see him back in action in the future, always been a favourite to watch
Really hope it’s Mateusz’s time to shine. Dude is top tier every time and is still relatively young.

What impressed me most about Mitch was clearly even when coming second in several events, like the elephant bar press, he clearly could have done more, same with some other events where it was clear he was not nearly pushing himself as hard as the other competitors... I wonder if that helped him keep so consistent across the entire event. But it is also clear he isnt even close to setting his best pr yet... a few improvements in select events and he will be near impossible to stop baring no injuring.. Wish him the best coming up, as a fellow Canadian he is really doing us proud. It's funny because i was not following world's strongest man for over a year, and had just watched some Eddie and Brian movies, so I wondered who was the next Canadian to take up representing our nation, and only to find out Hooper is not only representing us proud, he is owning this year... bravo to him....
mitch hooper really impressed me, especially the elephant deadlift 👌
it's super exciting to see Mateusz back! I think winning 3 event are super awesome, for sure he will work and come back stronger
Crazy that Trey Mitchell can't even pick up the timber carry. Working on grip strength would bring him a long way.
We're so, so lucky to have Big Loz doing all that he is for the promotion, development and consequently the future of Strongman. Finally starting to be viewed as a legitimate sporting draw and not just a sideshow anymore.
Mitch is just another level. Can't remember a more impactful athlete in strongman.
It's great to strongman coverage in such capable hands with Rogue! WSM needs to take notes! This is what the fans want! We don't want to see an event months later after we know who won
Wow, what an athlete Mitch Hooper is. And Trey Mitchell has made a lot of progress over the last few years. Really feel for Mateusz and all of his injuries. You know he’s probably mentally, as well as physically suffering. Really hope he gets back to peak condition.
That 901lb deadlift by Kevin Faires was a heck of a grind.
Pavlo's deadlift is cursed ... he keeps missing it in competition but his gym lifts are huge.
Mitchell Hooper making 906 pounds like he could do it for reps it was so fast
Hooper making Canada proud! 🇨🇦
Stoltsman have beasty voice
Mateusz is one my favorites. Hope he does well after the surgeries. Barring injuries - Mitchell Cooper will be better every year and possibly win 3 straight.
I feel for Mateusz, so much potential. I hope he achieves what he deserves...
Amazing to see Mateusz Kieliszkowski back in action after 2 years of recovery, and to podium at second. Mateusz has definitely shown the other athletes he's back in the game.
Watched back in the day..like when around 12 years old.but now I'm 2023 world strongest man checking out the new genre
Mateus has and always will be the fan favorite. Here’s hoping he bounces back next time
I believe I heard this in the past. The "wheels" or "drums" on the wheel of pain has sand in it which makes keeping any momentum almost impossible as it is always pushing back against you as the sand falls back with the turning if the drum.

I wonder what kind of strategy that condition would dictate as best... I wonder if, say, rocking the beams for each few-foot gain would eliminate some of the effort expenditure (I'm just musing and this technique probably wouldn't be allowed).
34:15 -- Watch the 1981 WSM... Bill Kazmaier did this with 180lbs kegs loaded with led shot and water. He was called "the human forklift" as he launched the kegs into the back of the truck from over 5ft away "throwing them like beach balls" He would've loved the stone toss.
Mateusz must be spitting and shitting in rage after so many podiumplaces with no wins.
So good to see a fellow Canadian win!!!!🏆 🎉 good for you Mitchell Hooper you make us proud to be Canadians!
It was a great show! thank you
The wheel really tests the strength and endurance and how conditioned the body is, whoever has the most stamina wins
@craigwheeler4760

The last event is good for "grip and back" stamina too. You try marching up a steep ramp with heavy suit cases in your hands.. it's taxing in the extreme. The first guy to complete the ramp was Zydrunas Savickas. The first year Arnold Strongman was held seriously, Big Z was the only guy to get up the ramp. It's that brutal of an endurance and grip test.
This is such excellent coverage and commentary. Thank you Rogue and Big Loz!!! I suppose thanks CBS too.
Toffee Boy will always be my favorite but Mitch stole the show. Watch his face as he's about to attempt the final event, "watch this."
Bruh a 50lbs pr out of a suit is insane.
Awesome competition 🎉
i wonder how these guys would do in shotput with proper technique coaching
you know the stone throw was a bad event when it makes up 1 minute of the 45 minute video lmao
Do they have different rules for the deadlift as I see some competitors almost throw the bar down as in other comps they can't drop it
To lift 400 pounds just once enough for me. How strong can one man be to lift it 4 times. 4 TIMES!!
Nice to see this version
Wow, I don't know how/why I missed you posting this, but thank you very much!
After coming back from injury Mateusz came 2nd, maybe he will make the podium for WSM in 2024
Hooper should train with JF Caron.

Shame for mateusz! Best endurance for a strongman but sadly his weak point is size and raw strength for the conventional lifts. Great competition overall
stay trong always boys👌👌👌
Hello Mark HENRY Good week to you
who else called the @1 strongman (* Hooper) from merely seeing the pictures at the beginning? so proud... i may be a gigantic loser, but i'll be damned if i can't spot the strongest human being in the room.
In the Steinstossen, I'm surprised that none of them tried to throw it with their triceps more...like a behind-the-head barbell plate extension? I know 185 pounds is a lot, but I feel like they could move the weight a bit morwnthan they were. Some were almost just running and letting go 🤷♂️
Well done Mitch
That stone throw is kind of dumb and really plays to the advantage of the taller guys.
Congratulations 🍾🎉🎈🎊
Eh?! Trey Mitchell gets ~90 ft on wheel of pain but yet on the official scoring, he is on 97ft?! What’s all that about?
Someone should have snuck in a cheeky rep with the lighter log to break the tie.
Canadian stand up and let's all get stronger
Can I clean here.. just imagine😂😂
Hooper may not be the best at any event but his really good at all of them
POLISH POWER!! Watch out, cause he is coming for that title!!
Just do one on the little log damn it! there's 4 people with 100 points, so easy to get ahead there.
I'm amazed not a single competitor broke either their knees or lower back the way mostbof them rested the bar halfway through on their knees. Only one guy got injured before it got to his knee height
Not to sound like a mom but... this looks so dangerous lol
Brawo Kieliszkowski :) Szkoda drugiej konkurencji. W 2024 będzie Wygrana !
He reminds me of other sports figures That come into to the sport, and their fitness level is already double everybody else’s. Remember when Tiger Woods went pro? Everyone else is fat and out of shape. Gretzky? Same. This level of fitness and skill is already up everybody else’s; he’s just filling in the power strokes.
The different sporting events (strongman, powerlifting, grappling, etc) were good but the expo is getting progressively worse. It's getting to a point where I am debating on going due to the cost/benefit ratio.

@@yoroshikuonegaishimasu8649just my opinion but the companies renting booth space has dropped in quality. I mean it's cool seeing Rogue, Rep Fitness, SBD, and the big guys but there used to be smaller companies that had cool stuff. The smaller supplement manufacturers are generally better than the vitamin shop stuff but they seem to be less of them there. Lots of people selling clothes that can only be classified as cringe. It's getting pricey for what it's become. Add in travel expenses, which for me isn't bad as it's a only 2 hour drive for me. However if I had to travel and get a hotel room and find transportation it would not really be worth it.

Talk about ACHIEVEMENTS!! WHAT??? OMG!!!
He dropped it several times but still won??
I'm new to seeing this type of competition, but i have to say why are all lifters challengers "overweight" and not muscular? Sorry for my cluelessness, but I'm just curious.
100 percent clean like bond' s, mcguire and clemens. right
I hope they stop wasting invites on Rob.
What is the guy with the stick doing, following the athletes on the wheel of pain ? That better not be the way they measure the distance, because I’m no genius, but that’s not the most efficient or precise way to do it
