    Just here for the tip on removing that black rear subframe piece - great tip! Sooo much better than removing that white piece. I was just drilling the white piece for some anchor points. Thanks!

    It's a good job that the tail light connection only just manages to squeeze through, otherwise it could turn into a real production.

    Thanks John! Needing to do the same to my 2022! And add heated grips, had them on my 2018 500, and wouldn’t go with out again

    Looks good, I did a similar set up on my 2021 fe501s but I used the factory blinkers. Being super cheap. Haha

    Just a heads up, you pointed to the wrong bolt for removing the seat. It’s the bolt to the front of that one. Great video by the way! Just followed along and installed mine. Thanks for the tutorial!

    Hi Jeff! Nice job completing the installation and glad the video was helpful! Thanks for pointing out the bolt mistake as that could be very confusing. That project was a sea of screws at times. When I did the project it surprised me how technical it was for just working on a fender but it was my first time. We could probably both agree that a second time would be much faster and easier.

    I did this to my 21’ ef350s and instead of taking the entire license plate part that hung down I dremeled the larger part off because it seemed like the taillight and structure was more beefy, but the Sicass racing lights are perfect and now the license plate doesn’t flop around. I also too a picture of my license plate and had a couple of them laminated so I won’t lose my actual license plate of my rear tire were to eat it up but I still keep my real plate in my bag if I was to ever get pulled over but the printed laminated plate looks real but there no real weight back there.

    Did you have to put an earth in or just click it in and works if no wiring has been modified?

  • @oregonmotojohn

    @oregonmotojohn

    No wiring modified at all which was the best part! The turn signals plug into factory connectors and the tail light is the same one just replaced once fender extender was removed. Thanks for watching and great question!

    The top light is just a running light and bottom is the actual brake light on my '23 fe350s. Is there a way to wire the top light to be a running light and brake light?

  • @oregonmotojohn

    @oregonmotojohn

    Жыл бұрын

    Yes, everything you said is correct. If I wanted a running light, I would be tempted to cut the wires to the top light and then you could rewire a smaller LED light as a license plate running light such as a small strip LED light. Great idea! I thought about doing something like that but started the project before I gave any forethought to getting an LED light and just wanted to get it done. I try not to ride this bike at night much so it ended up not mattering, but it still would be cool!

    Do you need the led signal flasher if you get the fender delete?

  • @oregonmotojohn

    @oregonmotojohn

    Жыл бұрын

    You can reuse your original signals as well but have to be very careful with placement. The LEDs just make it really streamlined. TACO MOTO CO also has some rear turn signals that will fit in the super narrow area that is left one you delete that huge hunk of plastic. Ah, I just got your original question...if you ONLY do the rear, your don't need the LED flasher relay replacement if my memory serves me correctly, which it may not. If you do front and back signals with LEDs then you definitely need it. After I did the rears, it seemed like the blink was sped up ever so slightly, but I had the relay because I wasn't sure so it was installed basically since it was on hand. Good luck!

    Hey where did you buy the tail light and what is the model 🙏

  • @oregonmotojohn

    @oregonmotojohn

    The tail light is the existing OEM tail light that came with the bike. However, the sickass turn signals I did have to purchase from rockymountainatv.com. If yours tail light is missing, the OEM tail light could be purchased from rockymountainatv or your dealer no problem.

  • @oregonmotojohn

    @oregonmotojohn

    Жыл бұрын

    That is an excellent question. I would think that it would work the same for the 350 exc since they share so many of that same parts. If yours looks the same as mine, I would go for it. However, if you can spot any visual differences while watching this video and comparing to your bike, I would do some more research. Usually these bikes are practically clones minus a few differences.
