2021 Rogue Invitational - Strongman Event 1 - Elephant Bar Deadlift

Спорт

Complete coverage of Event 1 of the inaugural Strongman competition at the 2021 Rogue Invitational, from Dell Diamond in Round Rock, Texas (Friday, October 29). The Elephant Bar Deadlift has made legends of some and humbled others. And as the first challenge of this 2-day competition, it's a rude awakening for the field of 10. With some of the greatest names in the history of Strongman given three shots to establish their max weight, just three were able to eclipse the 900 LB mark, with Martins Licis, Tom Stoltman, and JF Caron battling to grab an early win.
Details of the Event:
Rising bar system
Each athlete has 3 attempts to establish their max weight

How many times has it been now when Shaw damaged his hamstring on the Elephant bar ? I remember his deadlift permanently went down after he damaged his hamstring on the same bar at Arnold classic. He may wanna use maybe a less hamstring intensive stance for this bar. It just doesn't suit him and is shortening his career.

17:25 Novikov is still able to reduce the ROM with the normal straps. His hands start out fully wrapped around the bar, then as soon as he starts pulling, the bar slips down into his fingers. He's got an advantage over everyone using a proper grip.

Do they have to pull conventional or are they just stronger when they pull conventional? Usually when I see people deadlift they pull sumo which they do heavy weight but definitely not as heavy as this.
