novikov looks huge!!!

Fredrik had bad luck with his knee. maby that did something with the carwalk because last year 520kg was fine. to bad he did not get a chance to show his stonerun, his posterior chain has alot. as the deadlift showed x)

@@J.c410 this makes no sense to me. Versa grips are a strap system similar to WL straps. You can easily double overhand with them and have basically infinite grip and are almost as fast as setting a hook grip with no pain.

I like this more than the single max lifts

I agree. Seeing a deadlift once every five minutes can get a bit dull.

Heinla is one of the greatest deadlifter

I think this would be more exciting to watch without straps

Not sure if his grip was shot from the stones, but Luke wasted loads of time using straps on those first couple of lifts (considering he didn’t get the last one). Put him way lower on the scoreboard for this event than where should have been. He’s very lucky Novi got injured. He would have looked back on this event and knew it was where he lost it.

Why did Luke waste time strapping on the first 2 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

I said this when first watching it. Because he didn’t get the last lift he majorly fucked up there. Had Novi not got injured he would have looked back on this and been furious with himself. Handed away wayyy too many points. Maybe his grip was shot from the stone carry though?

Rauno's giving Mark Felix a run for his money on the athlete with the greatest longevity .

Limit or stop the use of straps and start moving the European strongest man to other countries and spread its wings would be a great change to really push the sport.

@Klepzeiker1984 exactly. Pretty sure winning the whole things for the 2nd time means he's in very good shape. Plus he almost had the last lift. Luke never known for his cardio. Only w and l matter anyway, who gives af if u miss one lift.

Wheres all the luke fanboys didnt get the last lift and barley locked out the one before

I think he's more useful to represent his country, bringing awareness and likely money/sponsors instead of being a totally unremarkable person to sit in a trench

Not even close to true these days mate. We have the Arnold, Rogue, Shaw classic other than WSM which is what I assume you were referring to. All of those shows have the absolute best guys. Most of the guys in this lineup wouldn't be invited to those shows.

​​@@Adam-if4se I also rate the big 3 plus WSM higher, Europe's is not a low level comp. You have Rauno, Gavin, Flowers, Luke, Pa, Konstantin, Novikov who were or are all competing in WSM. Which is pretty much the whole lineup here. So not even close is... Not even close :)
