2021 KTM 300 XC-W TPI Erzbergrodeo - Is it Really Worth It?

In this video I'm going over the details of KTM 300 XC-W TPI Erzbergrodeo Edition bike. What is so special about? Is it worth it?
Comparing to XC-W PTI, Erzbergrodeo comes with a significant list of additional optional parts. You can find the full list of those parts below. If you were to buy all of them, you would end up spending close to $2200. But if you know what you want, i'd suggest getting regular XC-W TPI and just buying parts you feel you need.
Parts list - $845
Must/good to have:
Radiator fan - 79735941044 - $104
Brake caliper support with disc guard - 79613975044 - $155
Factory seat cover - $75
Front rotor guard - 7900996110030 - $60
Supersprox sprocket (50% lighter)- 5841005104504 - $80
Support straps - $30
Swingarm tab protectors - 78104974100 - $90
Wrap around hand guard plastic - 79602979044 - $35
Ignition map switch - 51539974200 - $80
Skid plate plastic - 55403090144 - $84
Clutch slave cylinder protection - 55432975044 - $52
Somewhat unnecessary:
CNC Triple Clamp (stiffer and better forks alignment?) - 7810199902004 - $410
factory front wheel - 7900990114404 - $424
factory rear wheel - 7901090214404 - $500
Solid rear rotor - 25010960000 - $145

You don’t have to put time into putting the parts on either with is only a few hrs but still. Also that bike is a lot better looking than the regular. Not that that matters much but it’s a plus

I'd spend $3k more just for the graphics, people seeing me on a bike with Erzberg on it would know I'm top dog! until I leave the parking lot.

It doesn't matter what you do to the base model though, as you can never buy the erzberg stickers or plastics unless you actually own the bike. Im happy with mine and glad I spent the extra. No work needed to get it ready for serious riding or racing

and when you add the bottom staff, things bacome different. Some people would buy this bike because of its look too. Wheels, triple clamp, hubs and other small bits cost way much more when you buy them separately, what about graphics. It look unique. I just bought the 2023 model and I don't regret putting some 1200 USD more for it. It look fantastic and moreover when you sell it, you can ask way more for it and sell it faster.

I bought it because I'm older and could afford it. I see it as I bought all the upgraded parts, and then paid someone to install it. 🤷‍♂ Well worth the $1200 as far as I'm concerned.

@@719vol lol how wrong can you get! You can make a machined part far far lighter than cast. There are special exceptions though like different forging processes after casting. Just look at all the ultra high end parts used in any motor sport where weight and strength is key

@@ErzbergAdventures okay, but my machined triple clamps on my 22 Te300i ARE heavier than my riding buddies 22 XCW300. We have had them both off for stabilizers. Didn’t weigh them, but…they’re Te’s are heavier.

@@719vol they could be made heavier though on that model to make them last longer too, or to better suit the intended riding style of that bike. Just like a MX tire has a very different purpose to a hard enduro purpose one. Could also be they aren't using high end alloy to get the benefit. Machining to make it look nice but using cheap material to keep cost down. I couldn't see the factory clamps on my 2022 erzberg ktm being heavier as they are using way, way less material than the standard versions

@@ErzbergAdventures absolutely. 2 ply TP vs 3 ply. Interesting thought….I wonder if the Erzberg Triple Clamps are made ‘differently’ than the stock machined clamps on the Husq? Not really that concerned with weight myself….if I wanted lighter sprung weight, I’d eat a few less cheeseburgers. 😉😁
