    Very cool and thank you! I found myself in the same situation looking for some incite to the subject prompting the video. I'm new to this type of platform as I've been riding my Banshee for the past 25 years. I know the frustration when researching the forums as everyone just assumes you know what they are talking about. Even the manufactures of many of the aftermarket products do a poor job of explaining (if any explaining) or use outdated directions that don't exactly depict the installation process for a specific machine. A good example is the fuel customs intake that finally showed up. To my surprise they included an AIS block-off plate in the box and could of saved me the $20.00 plus freight! Again thank you for the comment I really appreciate it. My new exhaust should be here this weekend and will be making a follow up video showing everything working together!

    Your video is the best video I have found on KZread I order the FCI , I was very lost on what to do with the ais , I’m going to order this parts and install the 38 motors sports one question did you use the hoses the come on the kit? I just install the new ROSSIER ENGINEERING R5 exhaust I will send the ecu to PEP after I have the big 3 install so they can program Tune it to the correct settings. I hope you can help me out on how to install the new air breather

  • @350iroc9

    @350iroc9

    Hi Erick and thank you for the comment. Yes you will need to use the hoses that are supplied in the 38 motor sports breather box kit because they are cut to the correct length. There are only 3 of them and is very easy to install. It also sounds like you are going to purchase their AIS block-off plate as this is needed to complete the install. Next let's talk about the FCI intake. The performance gains are great but I have to admit its not easy to install. I've had mine off and on three times now and the last time I decided to just do it right. In my opinion the way to do it right is to remove the rear shock so you can actually get your eyes and hands in there to do the work. The space otherwise is so tight and cluttered that insuring a proper seal to the throttle body is nerve racking. The FCI is not an engineering masterpiece and is a pain to get the filter on and off. Because the filter is so large and the way it clamps on (with the air/box version) keep the box loose (without the mounting bolts installed) and install the filter first. Then bolt down the box as your last step. Most importantly just take your time. A proper seal without air leaks is imperative to the life of your motor. Thanks again for watch I really appreciate it and best wishes.

    As I look at the original bracket it appears you can still reuse it except the fact that it still has a welded tube connected to it. Half of the intent is to clean up the engine with the minimum amount of EPA pluming possible. Again thank you for the comments.

    SCF thank you for the comment/question! Now to answer your question "yes" you will be fine as those two upgrades have nothing to do with the ECU in anyway. Yamaha directly sells their GYTR AIS delete system from their website (block-off plate) and the only stipulation they mention is that it should only be installed for a competition closed course application only (Race Track). They say that because you are deleting the emissions plumbing that was enforced by the EPA. As for the breather box your really just deleting the OEM one connected to the side of the stock air box and relocating it with a replacement unit like I did from 38 motorsports. Hope this helps. Send a video link to your machine as we would love to see it!

    @@scfproductions6171 I myself never got the opportunity to witness the stock bog while riding the quad only in the heat cycling. I purchased the Vortex right out of the gate so I didn't have to. I'm still working on the footage currently. I had ordered a GoPro Hero 9 but it didn't make it in time for the trip. With that said I had to use my old Hero 2 camera. I've made several videos in the past but I swear 4 stroke machines sound like they are going slow compared to 2 strokes. Even though I was faster then any of the Banshees I was with it's not translating well on video. I'm still working on it though and want to publish the best footage possible. On a side note driving around Glamis really loosened a bunch of bolts in various places. If you haven't already go back through everything and make sure everything is tight and right!

    I have the same 2020 same color... ordered 38 motorsport box, ais delete vortex came with FMF 4.1 with power bomb header, (package at racing powersports $1184.00 no tax no shipping cost) that was the best I found for a full exhaust and a vortex. I also just ordered the skid from peaksracing, he also has a little plug to fix the hole in the air box when you remove the stock breather box ... some don't care, but I go through water some times and don't want that hole there. I should have most the stuff this weekend. What did you settle on for mapping? I was going to start with map 7 same as 9 but does not increase rev limit ....

    Wow you are certainly on your way! You don't plan to do the Fuel Custom's intake? I wish I could attach a picture of the stock intake vs the Fuel Custom's side by side. You would be able to see the difference in the amount of air flow possible between the two. On the Vortex I'm currently sitting at Map 7 settings 7,7,7. I'll m going to Glamis next month and will have more of an opportunity to try the other mapping. Thank you for the comments and best wishes to you!

Can you imagine trying to lift this thing into a truck with a 100lb jack dangling from it? If you want to get your bike even higher off the ground you can use a couple of cut 4x4 blocks of wood in between your skid plate and the top of the jack platform.
