Hello thank you for the video I’m trying to do the same in my 2016 camaro 2ss I have a question do you think I can use the rear trunk speakers to connect the line input converter or have to be the one are using in the video
@EssMotorsports
2 жыл бұрын
My plan was to use trunk speakers until I found out I didn't have them in a 1ss! Haha so yeah I think you can use them. With the bose amplified system just have to see if the chimes for door and stuff come through louder. If your just using it for just subwoofer I would think the low pass filter on the amplifier would take those higher frequencies out and you would be good.
So did you tie in the left and right positive & negative wires from the converter if though you ran them to one side?
@EssMotorsports

Yep. You don't get right and left channel on the sub then but that is usually how I do it and it never bothers me or even notice it.
Your sooooooooo close to 3hundred, I hope you get 3hundred soon :)

That is hooked up to the factory radio? I love that hood . Is it wrapped or carbon fiber hood?

Yes get signal from factory rear speakers. The hood is the factory Camaro 1LE wrapped hood.
Rear deck lid mine does the same just dyno mat it
Dose your batter die at all bc I kinda have the same set up but every now and then my car won’t start

My battery would drain before I put a system in. If it's going to sit a while I usually just hook up a trickle charger.
can you explain which wires in the door panel you tap into? I haven’t done it yet. but is there 2 or 4 wires in the door speaker harness?
@EssMotorsports
4 ай бұрын
You tap into the two wires going to the rear speaker. I only tapped into the Passenger side, to make it simple. So it makes the sub a single channel based off of the passenger side, vs if you tap off of both PS and DS you could wire your dual subs to each side.
I did the same think and it sounds good but what's weird is that when I close the doors it gets like a bass sound even tho I don't have music on. I even added extra ground and it does not eliminate the sound. Any other tips will be greatly appreciated
@EssMotorsports
3 жыл бұрын
That is weird if it happens only when you close the door. I was going to say if it happens when the amp is turning ON then get a pop stop eliminator. Is your gain set too high that it is picking up the slight electrical noise? I'd try turning gain down see if that helps.

Bro where did you ground your converter to? I tried grounding at the amp and my amp is grounded to the camaro ground which isn't working. My amp won't turn on neither will my lc2i pro (converter).
@EssMotorsports

I grounded the kicker converter to the battery lug. Did you tie both negatives together and both positives? If that would cause an issue if they weren't? Also make sure you have voltage from the speaker, could be blown?
@thedjrush

I'm was using a active line converter LC7I from audio control and since is uses the speaker signal to turn on instead of relying on a remote signal I don't have a issues with any random subwoofer pops you should look into it
@EssMotorsports
3 жыл бұрын
I will have too maybe for just the random pop issue. It's very faint when the radio comes on and off but I notice it.
May I recommend the audio control lc2i if you want a better signal for your bass as it is an active (Powered) line converter

@EssMotorsports

Yeah I had the same issue right away. Make sure you hook up the ground connection wire on the LOC. I didn't do that right away and my amp wouldn't turn on.
What was the negative and positive on that speaker? what were the colors?
@EssMotorsports

Good question.. I don't remember exactly but typically ground is black or it will be colored with a black stripe. Try this first and don't clip panel back in until u try system out first to make sure it works.
Where did you get the remote wire hooked up? Is it in the fuses box? I had a 2010 n a 2013 Camaro and there used to be a dedicated remote wire where the vehicle's amp wiring was. Now with the 2018 im trying to figure out where the wire is at. Any inputs???

Yeah there should be no reason u couldn't. I'm assuming the 1SS 1LEs still don't have an factory amp like mine didn't. 👍

@EssMotorsports

If you have a factory amp, Sounds like it could be a feedback loop caused by your active noise canceling mics. I'm just guessing from what I have read on the forums but that would be a good first place to start.

@EssMotorsports

@JaxonWeems I didn't spend much cause I was reusing old sound equipment. The amp, capacitor, speakers, even most of the wire was reused from previous vehicles. The box was cheap and the new fuses was few bucks but not bad. Everything new now a days would be probably 700 bucks.
what size is the box

13x30 x13 high. Fit really good in the trunk space.
how did u get to the speaker

You have to pull the side panel off that is covering the speaker. There is another good video on KZread that shows more detail on what to remove. Everything is held in with clips and couple small screws.
Got everything hooked up on my camero but for some reason my trunk won’t open and when I lock the doors my alarm doesn’t make any noise? Hopefully someone could tell me what it is and how to resolve it

No offense but way too much chatter/fluff, and start at one end and flow through to the last end. Jumps around too much. Start at the battery for example and follow it back to the subwoofer, something like that. Linear.
