Have been feeling buyers remorse as of late on my 1SS cuz of this nonbose stereo nonsense they have going on. Wish I had gotten the bose setup so I could use the PAC signal unit instead of tapping the non bose amp for a signal. Thanks for the informative video.

Just bought a 17 1ss. About to try this. Any thoughts on if it’s worth doing this vs putting better rear speakers in a convertible? Debating if anc is worth keeping.

I am getting ready to do this on my 19 Grand Sport same set up same harness from sub thump. My question is actually in tuning the sub. I am going with a skar 10 inch about 600 watt and either a LOC with a skar amp or a jbl with built in loc. Either way I will be hooking it all up like you did. So my bose system can be played at max volume I guess since it's factory bose makes sure it sounds good at max volume. So how did you tune your sub did you use max volume and set the gain or did you use 3/4 volume like on after market HU. I am guessing max vol is allowed and a clean signal. Also do you use a hz tone or music to tune you sub. Any help would be appreciated.

bigv5150 sorry you are way more advanced in setting up the sub that I. I just set the gain to where I liked it in relation the the factory system volume. Good luck

What do you think about doing a five channel amp? I'd like to power the current crappy speakers and then just give my system a little more base... nothing crazy

Karl Febel if you amplify the doors you will most likely amplify the warning chimes as the car utilizes the door spears for those tones. There are some signal converters for the Bose systems but they get into the $400 range just for the converter. If you don’t intercept the signal before it reaches the factory amp you will just boost at of the signal (warning chimes included). A sub is much easier as none of the annoying tones are not on the low frequency range. To avoid the annoying low frequency feedback with a sub you will need to disconnect active noise canceling. I have a video in that.

Dude Lebowski glad to help folks out. I used a SCOSCHE LOC2SL. It has been working great. The remote control is not very useful more like a on/off than true output adjustment.

I'm new to this, but I just purchased the same amp. What are you connecting to the GND, REM, and B+ connections? What are you using the turn the amp on and off?

Eric Manning, you will need an amp that used high level input harness. It uses the signal to turn the amp on. If you have the Bose setup, SubThump makes the kit that shares the signal after the amp. It’s like $98 shipped for the kit on SubThump.

Are you running all four speakers in the car because my harness only has two green and two white for just the front two speakers do I spice in I bought the harness and it has two in the front to the back do I just price of four wires within the two hardest word if that makes sense

  • @indecisivegarage2389

John Cindy it depends on what you are trying to wire in. If it is a subwoofer you can use the line for the front and connect them to you line level converter. The Camaro harness should have grey, grey/black, white and white/black for the front. I don’t which main color (grey or white) is left or right. The black strip indicates the negative lead. The rear lines are green, green/black, purple and purple/black. Hope that clears it up.

For clarification. The subthump harness connects in to the factory amp, factory amp harness then connects at rear of the subthump? You then took the pre stripped subthump speaker wires and connected them to your line output converter? Asking before I wrestle with this lol Great video!

  • @indecisivegarage2389

Nick McGowan yes essentially the harness allows you to tap into the factory amp output to the speakers without altering the factory harness. You could tap off the factory wires to save the cost of the harness and just tape the wire down the road if you decided to remove the aftermarket addition.
