    eddi can routinely pull 1050+, this will be beaten whenever he next decides to perform in this competition, he only stopped at 1021 last year because brian matched em and they just split it, like him and brian normally do in competitions, but expect him to beat this by a decent margin next time he competes in this competition. Jerry is strong, but not Eddi strong.

    also, this bar bent way more than eddies lift, and the plates covered more length on the ground,. meaning he was able to straighten up a bit before the load all went onto his back. details like this make a big difference in weight lifted. Not to take anything away from an amazing, amazing lift.

  • @Outland9000

    Overhand with straps will help prevent bicep tears. With one hand over and one under its much more likely you will tear a bicep on the under hand arm. I don't think I have ever seen anyone pull deadlift with double underhand... That would be very strange.

    MrPikkabo....it was a different bar so the suit is not part of the equation. Two very different comps aswell. Hall pulled 465kg the year before on this bar you really think he couldn't put on a few more kilo?

  • @MrPikkabo

    @MrPikkabo

    What? How is the suit not in the equation? There is a reason why suited lifters compete in a different class from raw lifters. Edit: Also, Hall has dropped down like 30KG bodyweight. No chance in hell he's as strong as he was last year.

  • @Outland9000

    @Outland9000

    Deadlift is by far the lift where the suit makes the least difference. At this point its more to protect from tears and injury than anything else, its not even close the difference something like a bench suit makes. Again, using straps with double overhand is to help prevent bicep tears.

    Elephant bar or Kangaroo bar, it doesn't matter. We all know who can lift the most, and has done so. These "records" are silly with their segmentations. Currently there is only one human being on Earth that has the biggest pull... rules, regulations or bars otherwise, and that's Eddie at 500kg. That's what a true "WORLD" record should be. Having said that, this was a great pull from Jerry. It's just not the biggest number the World.
