mine is c4 desel 2013 and isnt that loud, why is his so loud? on petrol?

I recently bought one of these. Something I think could be better the lack of torque. Bit of a pull only starts at approximately 3700 rpm. For a 1.6L 160nM is bit low. Other than that it's a pleasure to drive

The e-hdi has stop&start whereas the hdi doesn't
