@@autoexistence8902 You mentioned that you got your trans from a 7.3 diesel and it bolts right up to your SBF 351W, everything I’ve read is contrary to that, can you confirm that is the case? It would be a lot easier to find something to mate up if so.

I'm building a '94 Bronco right now and many of the things you've done to yours are the same as mine. Love the Broncos
Bronco is one of my favorite trucks it’s cool to see people appreciate old school rides and keep them on the road good job
Thumbs up on the transmission swap. Cool good old Bronco
Awesome that you did a manual swap! Sweet truck
This is super awesome man, I'm really wanting to convert my '96 regular cab F150 to 4x4. That bumper is sweet!
Thats the nicest Bronco i ever seen dude! Great job👍🏽
I got the same Bronco a 96 the only difference is mine is an Eddie Bauer and right now I'm upgrading it piece by piece. Kudos to you Sir I've learned a lot of things on the videos that you've done ....
Be aware that Optima batteries are not made by the same company they used to be. They are not the same quality. Great Bronco! Subscribed.
Nice looking Bronco! Also love the quality of the video
For anyone interested in doing the auto to manual swap it's pretty easy you need transmission, clutch pedal assembly, manual trans harness, and your gonna need drivelines because manual transmissions are shorter than auto trans you dont have to change ecm unless you are going from manual to auto. column conversion is easy just remove the shifter tube assembly from the the column

Love that stick swap, I like mine original, but I’m down to replace the electronic 4x4 mechanism and my auto transmission!! Great sours of info this Visio is!!!
You’re definitely gifted with the mechanics skills brother. I bet if you did a video on the manual tranny swap and detail the process it would blow up on popularity. I’ve had my 96’Bronco for 19 years now but have been reluctant on touching it. But cause of you I just bought a 93’Bronco today with a bad tranny for $2k and planning on having fun with it. Thank you for inspiration. The First Bronco has currently 80k miles on it and was a gift from my mother when I graduated Marine Corps boot camp back in 2000 so it became my first child before my real kids. I told them I love them all the same but there is always been a slightly favorite one, I told them “you know who you are” while they were standing next to The 96. Lol 😂
Gathering up parts to do this myself and ND this is only video I found for the bronco
Nice truck brotha 🤙 I get my 90 Eddie Bauer back from my mechanic next week 😁
Can you do a video with a little more in depth look on your dual batteries setup? That looks like a very clean setup! Is the dual battery tray attached to the top of the old one? I want to do a dual batt setup someday and yours looks perfect. Also nice look and stance with those AT KO2s I'm definitely gettin some 33inch KO2s after my 31inch KOs wear out!

Awesome video man! I got an 1989 ford bronco with a 5.0 302, its got a c6 automatic transmission and I was wondering if I could swap mine with the zf5. Also what parts would be necessary to acquire?
Nice vid. I have a 79 bronco, not sure what trans I'm going to use . 5 speed is a possible choice.
I have a 1992 bronco I got off a buddy. It was a factory 351/e4od and he did the zf5 swap along with installing the 3g alternator, all good modifications. I put 33x12.5's BFG's on it once I got it and the granny low 1st is nice for this size tire with stock differential gears. I know you mentioned swapping the TTB d44 to a regular straight d44. I know this is a popular upgrade, or at least was. With today's prices for those axles ($500-1500) plus what it costs to do the swap (the one kit I saw was $1600) all to end up with a front axle that uses the same size bearings, same size u-joints, same size and spline shafts, same size ring and pinion and carrier, IE pretty much everything is the same size so they'll be the same strength. I don't really see the cost being justified unless you have a parts truck with that axle already sitting in your backyard and you plan to do a lot of the fab work yourself. To each their own, but I put all new bushings in my d44 TTB when I put a 2.5" lift kit on it (new springs and shocks). I still need to put 4 new balljoints in (2 are bad) and then find an old school shop familiar with TTB to do an actual alignment on it, then I'm just going to run it. It drives great down the road, much smoother than any solid front axle vehicle I've ever ridden in, no complaints here. Just my $0.02
I’m looking to get some more info on the manual swap. My e40d is giving me a hard time and I’d like to figure out everything I’ll need
I heard if you do a manual swap you will have to get the trans wiring harness so the reverse lights work
May I ask what you did for a clutch set up? I’ve been considering the manual swap in my 92 and was wondering how you set up the clutch and linkage
Niiice. I have the EXACT same vehicle. Question, do you get any rubbing running 33s with no lift?
What do you do for work, nice scrubs
Do you have a video on the battery setup??

Did Ford offer the heavy duty ZF transmission in the 90’s Bronco? I had a 1994 F250HD 2wd with a 300-6 and the ZF 5 speed. I regretably sold it about 6 years ago after Lyme disease was putting me through hell.

Would you take $40,000 cash for the Bronco? Just wanted to make sure you won't let it go. Love the "foot assist" in installing the transfer case. You are a MMA master!
how difficult was it to put the manual transfer case and hubs in? i own a 94 bronco and wanted to try throwing those in not a huge fan of the auto hubs and transfer case
@codybrady6637
6 жыл бұрын
its easy to do the manual hubs but it's more difficult to do the manual transfer case, the easiest way is to find one at a junkyard and clean it up (or rebuild it if necessary) and swap it with your current case. Remember you will have to cut a hole in the floor for the linkage to poke through and there's also a wiring harness that connects to the t case that will be needed to illuminate the 4X4 dash light and also change the behavior of the transmission while in 4wheel.
You actually saw the transmission you installed in your Bronco come off of a diesel engine? I’m currently planning on swapping to a manual as well and everything else I’ve seen on the internet indicates that the diesel bolt pattern is not the same as the small block/inline 6 pattern. If it is the same, that would certainly increase the number potential donor trucks.
No, the big block and diesel have a diffent bolt patten form the 351, 302, 300 l6.
I don't think I've seen a tramny pulled without unbolting the converter? Zf5 swap = good

Do you have to change the drive shaft for the zf5 manual swap
@autoexistence8902
5 жыл бұрын
Yes, a shorter front driveshaft and a longer rear driveshaft. You can get a rear driveshaft for a 5.0 manual bronco that will fit as well as a front driveshaft.
My 94 took a lightning strike, keeps shorting out abs sensors so the e4od isn't happy. I have 90 percent of the parts. Just have to find out what my imbalance on the faceplate is so I can order a flywheel. On another note you said you got your transfer case out of an f250 truck. Only thing I didn't like about that is all the f series trucks have slip yokes for the rear driveshaft. If you track down an actual Broncos case it has a fixed yoke. If I break a rear driveshaft I can remove it, lock front hubs and drive home in front wheel drive. Slip yikes piss fluid out of your transfer case. .

@autoexistence8902
6 жыл бұрын
Yes you will need a cross member from a manual f150 or manual bronco along with a shorter rear driveshaft. You can just have it shortened, but I found just a few bucks more buy a brand new one for a manual bronco off rock auto. Manual bronco driveshafts are rare finds in the junkyard. You will also need a longer front driveshaft from a manual f150 or bronco, those are pretty easy to find in the junkyard.

How bad was installing the clutch pedal and stuff
@autoexistence8902
5 жыл бұрын
Difficulty is low but time consumption is high. You have to drop the steering column which takes some time to install the pedal assembly. Also the bleeding of the slave and master cylinder can be tricky. Other than that it’s really just bolts right into place. All the bolt holes are already there, and the hole for the clutch master is just covered with a piece of metal that’s glued on so that is easily priced off.
