In 2012, MTV doesn't play music videos anymore.
Videos didn´t exist in the US until 1981. Music videos were quite common in Europe in teh 70´s.

Damn man, I miss MTV. What the fuck!? I WANT MY MTV BACK! Why don't they have an MTV Classic channel that plays old programming, and videos from 1981-1986 before the channel was destroyed by Viacom. I was 5 years old in 1981. MTV replaced Sesame Street for me.

It's not that Christopher Cross was uglier than Duran Duran he was more easy listening and not as exciting. Duran Duran was heavier than him (though he was heavier body wise).
