Where can I watch the full games of old matches. Would love to watch the best teams and matches of the yesteryear. Nkt just world cups but old champions league games. Also would love to watch 1966 final in colour. There is a demand for that. But fifa are just awful. Even there world cup films. It's different and not really interesting to watch imo

He's just being modest/self-deprecating. Cruyff a striker with more offensive/goal-scoring skills maybe but Beckenbauer was a defender who could pull the strings and also move into goal-scoring positions. Cruyff was a classic striker; he did not reinvent tgat position. Beckenbauer reinvented football with the Libero position. This position did not exist prior to Beckenbauer. It was modeled on his unique/singular skills. There is a reason beckenbauer holds the cup maybe?

@@jorgemora5033 what revolution did Cruyff invent from his striker role? If you say Total Football, that was Rinus Michelis. Did Cruff ever play as a defender? No. Did he play midfield? No. Beckenbauer played across the entire pitch with distinction at various times of his career. He's being modest here. Cruyff was/is a legend. Beckenbauer the more complete player. Germany's coach saw Beckenbauers gifts and devised a system around him and a position that never existed prior. Not many since. That says all that needs to be stated

@@FrederickJohnSebastian total football founded by rinus Michels is a myth, some say it started at feyenoord with coach ernst happel. My point is that it would be silly to give all credit to Michels and none to Cruyff as he was the director on the pitch.

Gerd Muller's amazing ability to turn around with great agility in a minimum space was the key to the second goal (this move was indeed one of his many signature moves). The goalkeeper could hardly make any reaction.

Great game the Netherlands were really unfortunate to not win at least 1 World Cup they had an incredible team lead by the legend johan cruyff (rest in peace)

Pelé was a man with godlike skills. Incomparable. Apart from that I despise the idea of ranking football players. Just say they are among the best of the world. But nobody could achieve what Pelé did. His biography is amazing.

Netherlands choking on the big occasion as usual, they were the better team, should’ve won the final.

If you lose it once, it can be a matter of luck. But 3 times, you miss somethin' to win it. You did'nt do it all as well (in 74, dutch players organised a big party with girls, before the final against Germany…..)

And you want to tell us facing the host nation (Germany in1974 and Argentina in1978)had nothing to do with the first 2 loses?!! After all England's only World Cup trophy in 1966 was when they were the host nation, and S. Korea which had not won a single World Cup game in previous World Cups, became 4-th in 2002 by being the host nation. Being the host does not guarantee ultimate success, but it is a huge boost, like having an extra man on the field plus 90% of the fans behind you. In addition, Holland played W. Germany with a half fit Rensenbrink (injured against Brazil) and the absence of her central defender Barry Houlsheff (who because of injury didn't travel to Germany) and 1-st choice goalkeeper Van Beveren who did not travel to Germany because of disagreement with Cruyff. As for Argentina in 1978, they didn't even deserve it to get to the final: According to FIFA rules: all last games for the groups must be played at the same time, so no team has an unfair advantage: But Argentina played her last game against Peru, after Brazil's game against Poland had already ended and Arg. knew in advance how many goals they needed to get to the final. That is cheating. How FIFA agreed to bend and violate its own rules is disgraceful.

No bad luck. Germany deserved to win. Penalty for Netherlands was outside of the penalty area. Penalty for Germany was inside the penalty area and Hölzenbein got clearly disturbed in his natural moving, so penatly. Clearly goal by Müller. Should-have-penalty for Germany in second halftime and should-have-no-offside goal for Germany. So, Germany should have won 4 - 0. Germany ***time world champion.
