I remember watching the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster. I had just turned 20 years old. You did a fantastic job in the narrative you created to honor those brave souls aboard her. I am looking forward to seeing more of these videos from you. Good health and long life to you sir

First thank you for this. It's a very well done and fitting tribute to the Challenger astronauts. During our lives there are certain events that happen in history that we will always remember where we were and what we were doing when the events occurred. Since I am a boomer , I have seen a few in my life but the Challenger disaster stands out. Not only for the loss of its crew, but also for the hubris of NASA at that time. NASA had become, in my opinion, somewhat complacent. Shuttle launches had been so frequent and so problem-free that they neglected to take everything into consideration on the day the Challenger launched. The result as we all saw was a horrific tragedy. Made even worse as it was broadcast all over the world. History has always shown that no type of exploration is 100% safe. The recent loss of the Titan DSV proves that RIP to All who perished exploring the great unknown. Condolences to the families as well. Peace and long life 🖖

I was in my 3rd grade math class when a teacher brought in a T.V. They started showing footage of what happened to the Challenger. I remember parts of Reagan's speech. The bit of how they reached up and touched the face of God. 1986 certainly was an interesting year. A few years later I did get to meet a pair of Astronauts. Ronald Evans of Apollo 17 and Dr Roberta Bondar who did a shuttle mission with an ESA lab module in the bay.

I was 13 then, and like a good many of my generation from that day, I was in school watching it live. It says something about the impact of it that the normally unflappable teachers were shaken, with most probably thinking 'That very well could have been me...' It is all the more shameful, to this very day, that the explosion could have been prevented if they'd just waited till it'd gotten warmer...

Great vid, and good tribute to the Challenger, As for recommendations, maybe a Canon-ish history of the Odyssey-Class USS Enterprise-F, She was launched in 2386 and Retired in 2401, so that’s 15 years of history there awaiting telling. Officially She was launched, had a few Captains, including Vy’kel Shon as her final Captain, then she suffered system damage during frontier-day, and was deemed too severe to fully fix and was slated for Decommissioning with said Ceremony being held on Frontier Day. My sort of Fan-Canon-wise, While Shon was her final official captain he wasn’t her first, or most famous, her First wasn’t her most famous either, that moniker would be Aquired by a Joined Trill officer by the name of Jorel Quinn (yes Admiral Quinn from STO, but he’s a Captain on the F here), who would serve as the Enterprise-F’s captain from 2388-2398, taking over following the Death of the Enterprise-F’s Original Captain in an incident over the planet of Altimid (Canon’s Star Trek Beyond with 5 Ships including the Enterprise-F, I drew a promotional image of it and the Speed-draw of it is on my channel), when she was deemed irreparable, they fixed her internals up as best as they could because she was going to the fleet museum, following frontier day she was repaired yet again, and was officially decommissioned and on her last flight to the Museum had both her Predecessor (Enterprise-D) and Successor (Titan-A, Later Enterprise-G) act as Honorary Escorts, throughout her journey, of course, on Picard’s request, making a pit stop at Chaltok IV to see a certain someone (Laris, aka Jack’s future Step-Mom?)

Oh Baby, Baby, Baby! When the sun ain't shinin' And the world around, seems too let me down... I open my youtube app, and right there at the very TOP of my screen is YOU. My Angel in the Stars, my Lil touch of Stardust. Made flesh with a voice like the soft winds that brush the peaks of the most spectacular Alpine Ranges on a clear blue day. A mind full of depth of imagination and passion that SPARKLES like the snow crowned upon them. I bow to thee my angel of the stories and angel of the stars. You show us over, over again, the sheer JOY, FUN, UNDERSTANDING and not least true INCLUSIVENESS of unopposed possibility and DREAMS. EVERY tale you tell beams across the galaxy on pure energy. Energy brought about by Man and Womans discovery, learning and WICKED understanding of the reality of ours. You already travel to the stars beautiful one. The very real possibility exists that somewhere out THERE, Civilizations we will never know will capture the random energy in the backgroud radiation in a universe grown old and cold. So ancient that it's beginnings are unknowable and it middle is just lost. In those last stretched out, diminished wavelengths my luv my they find your stories, still quietly moving through space, trillions of years from now. Found drifting in a universe that has perhaps lost hope in the final days of dark. Only to learn that the energy waves they exist in are the very key they need to understand the truth of existence. For is it not true my Angel that your joyful tales will shatter their darkness and set for a renwwed imagination within. They will KNOW because of us and because of YOU that the night is darkest before the dawn. Buried in the signals and your tales they may even find a map, one of depth, colour, texture. A map of a universe they could never have dreamed to have ever been possible, let alone EXISTED. The will fade into that final night, dreaming of your tales of light, no longer afraid. For they know now. They understand. There is always hope! They will learn that from us and you and so many others to come. They will sleep their final slumber. Never to wake again yet so happy. For from the darkness they will hear it my angel. Just before their tiny spark of existence blinks out in a universe that has simply and completely ceased. As the sad truth they predicted came to pass. In a Universe bereft of hope, until they found YOU. As all energy is finally and UTTERLY frozen and locked into its final place and the Universe wheezes out it's final tired sigh.... As the fade away into a lonely, saddening end, your tales will have told them. They will strain. They will fight too hear. Listening for the promise that cannot be yet will be. And then my darling Triangulum. The final moment will simply be. Locked as eternally dead and gone. And they will be rejoicing my love. For you told them. All those who came before. The quiet energies they almost didn't notice in time. They told them. And so it was that as Exitence ended and they rejoiced in their end that they heard a quiet whisper inside the final dark. Their final moments transformed from for ever dark. For in that final single moment my luv, their knowing, the SHEER JOY of the knowing, will give the universe the energy it needed but was thought completely lost. For in that moment. In that final impossible joyous moment of energy. They WILL hear it... They dared to dream because YOU taught them to dream. In their dreaming, at the end of all, suddenly, dazzled by a light they can never hope to understand. A light so perfect that all is simply UNDERSTOOD! The sound. The sound brought by hope. Hope from a past where, PERHAPS just because a man dreamed, shared his dreams, shared his stories, giving joy and energy to so many long gone before. Perhaps because of YOU my luv. They hear the last words AND the first words. "LET THERE BE LIGHT!" Who knows? Perhaps my luv the hope and joy you give us all now, PERHAPS, will pass on enough energy through time and space to stop the death of existence it'self. And those words as they are softly spoken will be carried along into a entirely KNEW existence on the a soft, tender, dreamy, tones of one mans voice. Telling the tales of hope and possibility that will, perhaps, one day start all of over again. Please keep dreaming your dreams and sharing your worlds with us all baby. You bring light and happiness to my life and I think I am safe to say, to the lives of many others you will likely never meet but who's lives you have enriched and energised wirh your wonderful world building and respectful handling of a dream so many share in a world that seems to have forgotten HOW to share. Gene gave us Star Trek. You and so many others keep that light burning bright in the darkness. And you WERE my guiding light in the darkness my Friend. Be proud of your work and know that you are appreciated AROUND THE WORLD. Big hugs to you my Dear Triangulum. My dreams will be full of stardust tonight!💋

Though I appreciate you liking only Alpha Canon, you are sorely incorrect about it! There is ABSOLUTELY Truth with in Beta Canon, merely it's truth to itself. And Canon as a whole often pulls from Beta Canon to enhance it's own stories making things Alpha Canon in the end, like the Enterprise-F, lead in comics etc. And lastly, I can't please everyone, but you are in the minority, in fact, out of 10's of thousands of comments, almost 54000 subs, you're the first and only person to make that complaint. People LOVE Beta Canon, as it expands the universe and allows us breathing room to dream! So in closing, I appreciate your feedback, but neither the name "Truth OR Myth BETA CANON" nor the content will be changing, so I hope you can make peace with that!
