Season 3 of Star Trek Picard saw a host of brand new ships for us Trek fans to love. From the retro styles of the Constitution-III Class and its USS Titan-A/USS Enterprise-G. The weird underslung deflector of the Duderstadt Class and the latest ship to be called the Intrepid. To even a whole host of Star Trek Online vessels, including the Enterprise F’s Odyssey Class.

In my headcanon, the bridge we see in Picard S3 was just a temporary bridge module thrown in for Frontier Day since the primary bridge module from the F was so damaged after the “Monfet Gambit” (which apparently thrashed the F so hard it had to be decommissioned early rather than repaired... Must have been a hell of a battle!)

There's a couple of websites that have detailed descriptions of what each class of ship will do especially the new ones. For this class they specifically say that this is a patrol and interdiction vessel among other uses. So yeah you got a background and tactics or something like that it would be the perfect command.

I felt season 3 was incredible and it was an unexpected surprise, but the clip of Shelby being phasered at the hands of newly activated drones - I know it’s all fiction but the character of Commander/Admiral Shelby had SO much potential for further plot development. Though maybe they’ll work her back in and just say they shot one of the changelings on purpose and the real Shelby made it through in one piece. I can hope. Haha.

While it was cool to see her, I did think it was rather ironic that her decisions in ship systems designs over the previous 10+ years allowed the Borg to assimilate the entire fleet. Twice. Even if she didn't die, she needed to be put out to pasture. Starfleet needs to do what the Colonial Fleet did in BSG at the beginning of the Cylon War. Remove the network interoperability. Having prefix codes to lower the shields on a commandeered ship is one thing. But having things networked to the point where a single entity can take over the entire fleet is something else entirely.

It’s really just a kitbash, but makes a lot of sense. If the Sagan class are the latest and greatest, but the recent wars have made resources a little scarce, then the Echelons make a load of sense as Diet Sagans which only need a little bit of extra sauce (aka nacelles) to become full Sagans when you are able to afford that. Basically, you make a few Sagans, lots of Echelons, and then start adding the extra bits to the already existing frames so you eventually get the number of Sagans you really wanted.

No Enterprise will ever surpass the NCC-1701-D Enterprise. It was and is the best looking Enterprise by far. No crew could ever compare to TOS, however, lol, the Enterprise D crew ties for first place. I will even go so far as to say, had I not grown up with the original movies I would probably put the Enterprise D crew ahead of TOS's crew. The Enterprise D, NCC-1701-D, for me, will always and forever hold a special place in my heart, and she, for me, is more than just a make believe, sci-fi ship and that crew, they were people I wished I could meet. Picard was someone who i wanted to be like. He had integrity, wisdom, honor, he was someone who listened as well as took action when necessary even if filled with fear. Yes, Picard is a fictitious character but I have found in my life the lessons I learned from watching that show have served me very well indeed. I am a lil saddened by these new Treks. Strange New Worlds isn't as bad as some of the others but the swearing really sucks and money, what the hell, lol. I swear like a sailor but Star Trek always too me, seemed above that. An ideal to strive for, not pull down to our level. I realized though that Star Trek is a lense through which we see ourselves. It is a filter of the times in which we live. It does not change that too me these feel like the dark years of the Trek but in time it will right its course as will hopefully our society. I spose that more likely our society will right itself and the Trek will follow. After all I'm pretty sure that's how it works anyway. If you read all that then may I please say thank you kindly and I wish you and yours well.

No money = kitbash. Which is interesting, given how much that classic Star Trek kitbashing was literally bashed by Drekkies.

I will be honest, I personally would not pilot this particular starship, as I have better starships available to pilot.

That fat, clunkey rear end is tragic and the nacelles are a bad imitation of a classic. Shame. How did we go from designs like the Akria and Sovereign or even the Sabre to this?

I'm unsubbing. I'm tired of the long videos with way to much summary or rehash. Talk about the ships, no worries, but we don't need all the history. AND you do it just to do it! FILLER, to make your videos longer! THERE is no need for you to rehash all that is in this video to discuss these ships! This video could have been two minutes! The rest? USELESS or KNOWN information! I share with you not to insult you, or offend you. SO YOU KNOW! It's called, feedback!

Important to remember this could be someone’s first entry into Star Trek, David. While you may know all the facts, congrats, others may not. These videos are typically chaptered as well, meaning you can skip ahead and find the useful info you seek ;) - Jack

Overtly complicated, boring game for people to waste their time and money in. Tried game once when it first came out. What a nightmare.
