Great info and like many training videos if every one just did these they would be better off. However many of these are not plyometric exercises. A static jump onto a box is jump and strength training which helps in plyometrics but it is not Plyometric. The best way to view plyometrics is to view The shock method of training. It is the neuro muscular reaction of reversing direction under max load from landing using the energy amortized during the eccentric movement. Like a depth jump off of a box and prior to coming to a stop reveres direction and jump as high or far as you can. The goal of plyometrics is the stretch reflex of the muscular system. Sorry, not meant as a negative. Although this is a great video, I am confident if you put out a jump training video and a plyo video or split it in the same video your followers may get a greater benefit from your great work............

Well you can, but it may work best if you pick 3-5 of these to include in your existing training day. 3 rounds of 10-12 reps
How many sets would you recommend? I’ve just done this in the gym 3 times through at reps of 10 for each
I would like to train with Ashley🙂

Start low and build confidence. Ideally find a padded box.
My daughter is a 400 and 800 runner. I heard box jumping promotes powers and speed. Are there any of these we should avoid?
@Criticalbench
2 жыл бұрын
Box jumps are excellent for runners. Just be careful to not do too much volume and do it with impeccable technique.
for these what % of power should you be using? 100% or cut down as you go on?
@Criticalbench

If you're trying to build strength/power you should be using a good amount of effort and be pushing yourself.
When she did the Single Leg Squat and the Reverse Hyper, I lost it lol.

Can you help me get over the fear of jumping up on a box ? I’m so afraid I can’t get myself to jump 0-0
@Criticalbench
3 жыл бұрын
Hi Tori, this is Coach Tonya and you are not alone in this. It took me some time to get to where I was very comfortable with this. One suggestion is to find something that is not really all that high and work up from there. This is more of a pyschological thing than anything else. Just make sure that whatever it is you choose to jump on it is solid and will not topple over on you.
Ashley does not do push-ups on her knees, cause she’s a beast. 💪
Was I the only one dancing to beat.. especially the drop..
Where do I get a box like that?

well, the athletes in this video are amazing and inspiring, but for a mere mortal this looks like a great way to get hurt. There’s probably 100 baby steps needed to get to the level of what these people are doing safely.
