I know this vid is old but it just popped up in my feed. Love your attention to detail. One thing you've probably added by now. navigation lights. I did a DIY 14 footer myself. Even added a pvc center console and wheel. removed middle seat. Decked, then i changed it for foot space for fron guy or girl. Also floored and marine carpet. Love all the great ideas out there for tin boat crowd.

This is great. I am restoring a 1960 Jon Boat very similar to what you have. We're doing a lot the same which helps me confirm we're doing it right. We didn't do as much as you have but this is awesome!!!

Captain Adventure Don't think I'll have time this summer to do the upgrades but hope winter of 2015 I will have the time.

you have a deeper 12ft boat than me but your set up is very similar to mine, really have to utilize space in a small boat, out door Velcro has been my friend when it comes to cup holders and a storage bag for things. good to see I am not the only one who thinks this way with a boat

Nice video very informative gave me ideas for mine. You can never prepare enough , better to have something and not need it than not have something and need it. I have trailer boat guides on mine and they help out so much.

I know this is an older video but even so you've done a remarkable job,beautiful boat. It looks as though you have covered everything you need except one thing. Pull your prop off your 10hp, theres a shear pen in behind it. Take and find you a nail of similar size and make you 3 or 4 pens and carry them with you. They get worn just shifting in and outa gear and break when you need it most. Theyre very simple to change even in water. You also said something about building a casting deck,build one just to level your floor out,you got the best boat ive laid eyes on. If you've already done this just pass it on to your friends please. Thank you for showing that incredible boat,keep it even if you get a new one,you want ever regret it.

Setup is almost identical to mine but I have a smaller motor. Nice boat and nice setup. The main thing I did different is that I have the anchor rope running from the bow along the side of the boat so I can control it from the stern when I am by myself. I don't plan on doing the upgrades you are talking about. I prefer simplicity.

+danutdlp I subscribed to your channel. I just a bought a used 12 ft similar to yours ( boat alone $300 Canadian) I hope I can achieve half of your handy work...it will be my winter project. The only question I have for you is, what kind of paint was it on this boat? This video is an inspiration to me. Thanks again.
