Nice mod ideas! My best DIY mod I did so far was building a steering console for my aluminum 12 foot V hull 'row-boat' as everyone calls it. I made it from 1/4 inch marine ply and covered it with fiberglass. Everyone said it would look like crap and be too heavy but so far, 3 of those people who said it would look like crap actually had me build consoles for their boats that were under 14 foot. Cost me less than $150, took about 3 days and no more driving from the rear. As far as added weight....only added about 50lbs.

The #1 Boat DIY I liked was the Bimini top, shade is always a good thing here in the South during the summer!

I saw your trailer steps video and had to make a set for my flat bottom. I live on Chickamauga, the most over fished mudhole in America. I sold my Ranger and fixed up my duck boat which happens to be a 1985 goose poop green Lowe with the original 40 hp. white Johnson.. Amtoys made a stuffed pickle in 1985 called the Super Pickle so that's the name of the goose poop green boat. Idiots would follow that Ranger but they don't pay any attention to the Super Pickle.

Non slip steping places. Buy a bag of grit. Some good spray paint. Spray and sprinkle grit. Spray again.,twice .. Works for me. Stays on years. And very good footing. Tops of seats and fromt. Floor if you are energetic. Tape and make 1 inch strips for really good footing. Keep from busting something.

@@FishinNStuff Sounds like you have a great wife! I'm getting ready to fix up a old 16' Jon for my wife and I as soon as the weather breaks. Really enjoying all your fishing and boating DIY's and Hacks! And you know I only pick on ya cause I like ya!

Cheap Bimini top hack - If you have the cheap aluminum round poles you know you can't use them at at any speed greater than 3 MPH. Here's the hack: Cut through the poles all the way through, insert steel piping to the proper diameter to fit snuggly in the aluminum, then drill and rivet. Do this while the bases are still mounted on the bout so you know you have the proper alignment. Lastly: wrap some electrical tape or cover in sealant around the cuts. I never lost a Bimini cover since.

I have found some of you videos and tell myself I NEED THAT!!!!! You need to do a DIY kayak video. 1. using a milk crate and pvc pipe for storage/rod holders instead of buying a storage container. 2. I have seen people using a dog storage container from tractor supply (the oddly shaped ones with the lid at an angle) and hook up a bubble machine for a live storage. 3. the broom locks are great to hold paddles and rods. I would also love to get in contact with you about a couple more ideas.
