We are a (sort of) normal couple living a rather unusual lifestyle in a Tiny House on Wheels (192 square feet) trying to fit more adventure, travel and exploration into our lives! We love to go camping, hiking, backpacking, kayaking…and traveling with our 16 foot Scamp Trailer. We have an awesome Adventure dog named Redford that is up for anything. Agree with traveling interstates. Much prefer the state highways that generally run parallel. Sooo much more engaging with the senses!! 😍

sometimes we have to do it to stay on a timeline...but the journey is so much more enjoyable when we take the back roads!

I remember getting mad cause the fridge broke in my old motorhome, I stomped out the door, slammed the door and broke the door. Never had that problem when I was tent camping. It's hard to slam a flap.😀

the fridge is soo important!! 🙈 when tent camping goes wrong there are some choice curse words that come in handy 😂😊

That is so neat!! I will keep an eye on our schedule- we are heading south in October once we get some repairs done on the Scamp, I would love to check it out if we can!
👍👌❤️🇨🇦, I own a 1977 17' Boler fiberglass TT, the Scamp was later copied from the Boler, still in factory mint condition

that is so great- I love seeing the older rigs still out being used! How have you kept it in such good condition? Do you store in indoors?

@@LetNewAdventuresBegin I have used her alot, been across Canada 6 times from coast to coast and have been in every state except Hawaii, I have 1275 Watts of solar on my tow vehicle, and yes stored inside when not in use
It’s curious why Scamps use a pump to drain the shower, Casita’s use gravity. The new (2024) redesigned Scamps hopefully address this issue, they sure are beautiful inside.

I had the same thought- it is just another thing to break- there needs to be a re-design with that! I would love to take a look at the new models

Hi guys! I really enjoy your videos .. my wife and i are looking into getting a scamp 16 with wet bath. Yiu guys have any regrets on getting 16 vs 13 or having the wet bath ? Thanks

HI Tom! the 16' is the perfect size for us- since we were upgrading from tent camping we really wanted a bathroom & although we have hardly ever used the shower it is sooo nice to have a bathroom on long travel days...or when it is raining & we dont want to walk to the bath house in the morning

Interstate highways are horrible, I always try to find small 2 lane roads that take you through old America and get to meet local people

It makes a big difference in the experience of a travel day- It may be a bit slower, but worth it for less stress and getting to see the towns!
