Another fact: The writers and producers liked Duncan and Courtney better but Cartoon Network said that Duncan needs to be with Gwen. So originally Duncan wouldn’t cheat. And Gwen would be more liked. Only drew who voiced Duncan liked Gwen better. Idk why they could’ve just said no to Cartoon Network.

Gwen was my favorite I watched this as a kid. I am now 19 and still watch the show on Netflix. I think I would defiantly would love a rebut with the original style and characters. Maybe their kids would be contestants, or maybe keep them the same age.

I'm from Romania and I actually remember watching the ending in which Owen won. Maybe I saw the one where Gwen won as well, but I clearly remember the one with Owen.

You don't like TDRR because of new characters? that doesn't make since, as most of the new characters were fantastic. Also I'm glad Chris is gone, he became very annoying from TDROTI-onward and Don is way better

My favorite was Ezekiel. When I first saw him and Chris says “What’s up Man” and Ezekiel replies with “I think I see a bird!” I knew I would love this character. Then he got removed on episode freaking 2!

well, he did make pretty sexist comments you could argue he didn't know any better due to homeschooling, but he should've known that would've happened (btw, i'm not hating on the character in any way, i just wish it was improved upon)

This was definitely my favorite show back in its prime. I was so into it at one point that when I got my first puppy, I named her after Izzy because Izzy was supposedly raised by wolves, and she is my favorite character.

i suppose my favorite character would be beth but in terms of what character i wish had more development would be katie and sadie i really liked them, but the fact that they depended on one another made me worry about the both of them, and i feel like a story arc where the two learn to be independent of one another would have made for a perfect story for the two to face together

Total Drama Island is a show I always considered an unsung masterpiece. I can never really identify what about this show is so good all around. I just know I really enjoy it, finally seeing it get some recognition though, makes me wanna go back a third time and rewatch it all again. I watched it as a teen, and it held my interest. As a young adult in school i went back a second time to catch some ep's I missed and just to nostaligia. Surprisingly it was still immensely enthralling for me, to the extent that i watched some episodes twice. This time I wanna watch it critically and really try to find what the spark in this show was, cause it was amazing in some way that has yet to be replicated.

I love gwen so much my favorite and I loved Trent and gwen but was always caught between Duncan or Trent with gwen 😂❤❤❤💁

I swear every time I rewatch the series I get a new favorite and wonder why I never liked them before.

Im going to sound really old saying this but they were so right when they said reality tv was big for kids in the early 2000s. I remember watching Endurance on Discovery kids and that show was my jam. It was Survivor with kids my age and it rocked. Then TDI hit and I was hooked too. I got really invested in the story and got mad when my favorite characters would lose. Im 20 now and have been rewatching the show and it still holds up. I love TDI (Harold and Lashawna for life)

I'm pretty sure when "6Teen" came to the States it's major selling point was that it had the voice actors from TDI (it got me sold on it)

Also as I remember TDI came to the US before 6Teen (unlike in Canada where 6Teen came first), so because they had similar actors that was their major selling point so people can watch 6Teen because it had the same actors as the wildly popular at the time Total Drama Island

Through out season 3 Cody was my favourite character and after rewatching TDWT I realized I can relate to Cody in a way.

Neat video. Re: #78 and 93: I have always hated, hated, *hated* the idea of Gwen and Duncan as a couple. They work together because they're so similar? If anything, that should be more of a justification for why the coupling is a bad idea. This makes them seem more like siblings or cousins. Besides, the Goth chick paired with the delinquent? I get the sense that this decision took less than ten seconds to arrive at. Why, yes I am a Gwent shipper.

When all the seasons dropped on netflix recently I convinced my husband to watch it with me as I wanted to rewatch it with the seasons I didn't watch. He didn't like it at first but now we are already on season 2 and he loves it and got very invested in the show. I love total drama. Fantastic characters challenges and comedy gold. 👏

I think I’m the only one who loved Sadie. Best TDI character, she deserved so much more. :(
