The biggest stupid twist in Civil War was the fact that we were supposed to believe Captain Americas team were in the wrong the whole time :P

Well, isn't he? All of them (figuratively speaking) had taken the mantle of superheroes to defend Earth from all threats, internal and external. All of them are even willing to sacrifice their lives for the cause. They're like soldiers of this world who are willing to lay down their lives so that we can sleep soundly at night. And what good are soldiers if they cause a civil war? They'll just wreck more chaos and destruction. Look up past and modern conflicts, espescially the civil war kinds, and you'll see my point.

Am I the only one that liked identity crisis? I thought it added mystery, as well as showing the heroes in a different light, while also applying a darker tone.

I don't mind the different shades of personalities from DC heroes .. The thing with this comic is that many decisions didn't made any sense and they were only for shock value, not to mention there was virtually no pay off, I mean Dr Light never did anything worth after the comic, Sue's death was completely unnecessary and the brain washing was really out of character for pretty much everyone. So yeah, not a fan.

Identity Crisis was legit. So was Civil War. Both titles got me back into reading DC & Marvel, respectively. I accept your criticisms, starting now. I'm just glad there's a black dude on WCC now!
Identity crisis was good and set the relationship for Batman and the Justice League that is still in play today. Secret Invasion was also amazing

Lol @ “silly even for a Batman villain”!
I don’t know. Secret invasion was a pretty good story based on a good concept. I personally thought the twists actually came into the buildup not the end, which made it a bit different
Bank Robber who doesn't know Spiderman surrendered when Spidey threatened to 'summon the spiders' and everyone in the bank played along; 'Oh, no, Spiderman, *anything* but the spiders!' Robber saw a spider in an office plant, freaked out, and surrendered his weapon. Funny enough the Spider Trackers that Spiderman uses to, well, keep track of his stuff (he also had one in MJ's wedding ring) uses technology similar to Hank Pym's ant-tech, as he discovered when he asked Pym to help find his wallet, no joke. This means Spidey could theoretically make a gadget to summon a horde of spiders!
Cap's Avengers didn't lose in the sense that Iron Man's forces defeated them. After being accosted by non-supers, Cap realized the destruction that was being caused by their battle and surrendered. Fury's LMD are part of his legend at this point. Grouping together all of those reveals diminishes the times when the reveals were actually pretty awesome. Hopefully one day Nick Fury will stop being "The Unseen" and resume his place as the top spy in the Marvel Universe.
Hey you forgot General Hospital had an alien storyline back in the 80s. So Vampires sounds about right.

5:50 no that he’s bi polar And two secret invasion wasn’t even like that They barely even change anything of note
Diarrhea is a hell of a plot twist yo! Uh!
My top three: Identity Crisis Number One. Check. Clone Wars. Check, but it deserved to be even higher. Bringing back Jason Todd. Seriously. Jason Todd staying dead was the one super-hero death that offered any sense of permanent continuity. Their refusal to commit to even that was the final nail in long-running comic-book continuity.
So, That "Mobius was Earth" nonsense? THAT was all Ken Penders. After the lawsuit was dealt with, Archie erased all that Penders did, including that stupid retcon, with the Super Genesis Wave.
Batman leaves Catwoman for Polka-dot Man
Love the new guy but 4 things 1. Civil War was dope 2. Secret Invasion was dope 3. I love that of all the ridiculous things about Sharon you didn't mention the fact Cap used to bang her aunt in WW2 then upgraded to the 21st century model after getting unfrozen 4. Am I the only one who always assumed the Mobius twist was what happened even before Archie failed horribly at trying to be Adventure Time before Adventure Time was a thing?
He really shit on the Hush change? The motivation of Hush was amazing and an awesome twist. The point of making you think it was JT was why it becomes a "twist" and not just the general plot...
Here's another stupid twist: Retconned Cassandra Cain (in name only) killed Harper Row's Mom, Batman & Robin Eternal. An obvious turn before it was revealed, and as well as a vain attempt to strain an undeveloped but instantly solidified friendship in one example of many of Tynion's penchant for cheap emotional manipulation. Dear lord, that entire story was a mistake.
There is something didn't know thank you what culture for telling about that sonic comic thing
Looks pretty good
Imagine thinking Hush was a bad twist bc no one saw it coming.....you know.....the point of big twists in villain identities.
*cough* jane as thor *cough* *cough*
Well said.
The tragedy that is Identity Crisis can be forgiven because Brad Meltzer also wrote Archer’s Quest. Jeph Loeb is my favorite comic author and for every five amazing stories he writes he has at least one real stinker. It’s just how it goes for most authors.
Fuckin general hospital? I'm ouT
Is this the new hire? Like him!
Tolkien was HOBBITS. LOVECRAFT was cthulhu. Welcome to the internet.
Who drew Gary Busey as Wolverine at the beginning there?
Xorn wasn't actually Austen's fault but Bendis'. He had Magneto appear at the end of "Avengers: Disassembled" to pick up the Scarlet Witch. Austen had the unwelcome pleasure to deliver an Explanation.
Could you do a top 10 list of best twist in comics next?

How is heroes being Skrulls a bad twist just because it retcons stuff? Comics retcon stuff all the time.
Idk I thought secret invasion was alright
Ok Ori, I see you
1rst one kinda makes sense
I loved the real clone saga!
The grand comic edition is always a something that should include a big deep plot I think many of which have a few twisted ideas or ideas that have happened before just a retelling of a strange one the muliverse plot is used lots it is clever to have a hidden history from the rest of the universe of a hero that has two or three different origins but not current to the one universe or another dimension he or she has a family history that is linked to a villain or cosmic god that isn't much more than a twist of fate. Hero's origin's are very different to the original stories of which always changes evertime but if they go bad or mad their status is rewriting the heart of origin is a tree a lot of roots and lot of paths.
One of the dumbest has to be Iceman was gay all along. A dumb tactic to get people interested in Bendis run of X-Men
Hush being Jason Todd would have scrapped what turned out to be an amazing story in under the red hood. It being Thomas Elliot was out of no where and unexpected. You’re right. Which is what made it good. We spent a year getting to know this character, and he turns out to be an incredible foe against Batman? Hell yeah. A lot of this list is reaching pretty far mate. But that entry was just plain silly.

Number 1 is disrespectful.
Wow
7:46 yeah dude, that's the point of a twist. if you see it coming it's not a very good twist.
I started collecting Spider-Man comics in 1979. A couple years after the clone saga I stopped. That’s how bad it ruined the character for me.
Strongly disagree with #6. Secret Invasion was great. Civil War wasn't great but it wasn't terrible either.
>Sonic has a garbage story. Well that's how it gained its fandom, which writes equally garbage stories.
Any reboot of a beloved series that is written by another writer who has no love of every character in the series is stupid.
I actually really liked Identity Crisis idc
The Clone Saga was not fun to read as a kid. I love Miles but couldn't get into Riley.
Could be worse in the Animated Hush film it's not Jason Todd or Thomas Elliot under the bandages the actual answer is just plain stupid
Yeah, Identify Crisis. Wiping Batman's brain should have had consequences. Bruce is not the most well-adjusted character on a good day. No way would he not find out or take it nicely. And for what reason did Zatanna agree to this idea? He wouldn't beat her up but the rest of the Justice League are running close to getting Bat-punched and thrown in Arkham. Not worth the risk, remember Bruce has files on everyone's weaknesses. Even superheroes aren't this dumb.
I disagree with most of this list. I do enjoy the presenter. Would love to see some personal stories from the crew about which comic runs made them fans.
