Hi, my name is Callie and I'm a certified Pilates and Barre instructor and certified holistic health coach. As a former competitive figure skater who struggled with body image and chronic injuries, I fell in love with low-impact “flow” type workouts, like Pilates and barre. After spending many years feeling bloated, low energy and discouraged, I realized the power of listening to how your body feels before/during/after your workout. Hello I'm new at pilates. I'm 52 and was a athlete all through my school years and I'm 5 ft 10 so up until ten yrs ago I couldn't gain weight. I was too skinny for my height and I know my metabolism was fast. But I gained weight in my stomach and breast and I want to tone my stomach and work my glutes. So I been doing a ten minute stretch every morning then do a beginner pilates workout for beginners. I will be starting week 2 tomorrow. So I want to know if I do the ten minutes pilates for another week is that good or bad? I want to get my body use to it and I don't want to over do it.
