10,000 Indoor Step Challenge (Burn Calories!) | Joanna Soh
Your challenge this time is to hit 10,000 STEPS DAILY!!
It takes an average of 100 mins of slow walk to hit 10,000 steps or an average of 70 mins of vigorous walk to hit 10,000!
Here is a 30-Min Indoor Step Workout to help you achieve your daily step goal!! I clocked in just over 4,000 steps by doing this workout and burned over 220 calories. Do this challenge twice daily and also choose to walk more when you are out and about running your daily chores or work.
Walking can be as good as a workout, if not better, than running. I would highly recommend walking because it is a low impact and safe workout, especially for those who are extremely overweight or might have knee injuries.
Know this, walking CAN get your heart pumping, muscles working, and fat burning-all of the things that a real workout is meant to achieve.
So let's start WALKING and hit at least 10,000 steps daily. Are you with me?

    Sharing my progress here. I'm a woman in my late 20s, starting from 75kg with 164 cm height. I aim to walk at least 15K steps in a day, However I do this workout a lot especially when I can't. walk outside. I eat around 1600-1700 calories a day. Move at least 15K steps, do 20 mins strength training 3 times a week, and reduce a lot of sugar from my consumption. On week 4:= I lost 2kg since the beginning, Clothes starting to FIT again when I could not even put it on back then. But most importantly, I'm much stronger now. I don't have much craving now. I eat better and rest better. Trust the progress guys. Just find the joy of improving every single day, no matter how tiny it is. Don't alawys focus on numbers especially your weight. What's important is how your body feel. Slowly getting faster, stronger, more energized. healthier then the physical aspect will follow. Good luck everyone!

    Hey so for an occasional twist, I love turning the volume off and playing my own music to this. I’ve found it fits with almost any music I have on! I love challenging myself to do the moves while incorporating dance movements(basically turning all the moves into its own dance. And it’s different every time :) At first it was just to get my arms moving, but now that I have so much fun with this, this video has become something I look forward to daily!This is actually my favorite fitness video and I watch it often. Just wanted to leave a fun suggestion for those that would enjoy it. Have a wonderful day everyone! 😊✨

    I never thought I would be able to accomplish this challenge. I am 63 years old and I decided to watch my diet and start exercising. I'm so proud of myself, I did it all. This will be my daily workout + another 20 minutes for other exercises. Thank you for your good work.

    i started to follow this routine 30 mins on weekdays along with healthy diet 3 meals a day day 1 - 74kg day 10- 69kg day 15- 67kg day 30- 65.4kg day 50- 61.6kg hope i can maintain to lose weight gradually 😭💕 #roadto50kg 💪 updated: i lost track on how many days till now but my current weight right now is 57.2kg. slowly but surely. im still trying to maintain my current weight and i start to take my rice intake (abt 100g per day) my inner asian screaming for rice so i cant resist it 😂. now im still trying to shed my weight until i reach my goal> 50kg 😭 (still got 3months to go before my graduation ceremony 💪) goodluck to all of u 💕 2022 new update: guys i didnt reach my target 50kg, but my current weight now is 56kg but overall im happy with that weight (I'm 5'5 tall btw) and i get to wear all my old clothes and buying new ones too hahaha okay i think thats all i need to say. hope u guys can reach ur weight goals too! goodluck everyone!

    I've lost a lot of weight by doing this workout for the past 45 days. I'm one of those people who does not like to exercise and has stubborn fat in my body.     I didn't want to be one of those people who start doing the exercise on the 1st day and go missing on the next day with no updates at all. So, I decided to get the result and share it here. I started this exercise on 1st of March(71kg) and did it every day for about 6 weeks. On 17th of April my weight was 65kg. I don't skip my meals but I made sure I consumed less than 1500 calories per day. I kept myself hydrated and most important of all, don't get stressed over your weight. Keep doing your exercise and have fun. Now(26th May), my weight is 66.5kg because I didn't exercise at all and have been eating a lot of junk food since I started going back to work. I started this workout again today and I know I will be able lose more weight, at least a kg or two in 3 weeks. See, all you need is a bit of motivation. I promise you, YOU CAN DO IT!!!

    Make sure you have broken your fast before a workout. Tea or coffee or water with dates and little snack. And after maghrib prayer u can put on ur workout gear. Another good time is after tarawekh or before suhur. Ramadhan Mubarak.

    I’ve lost 5lbs laying in bed watching this workout. It’s definitely something I can do to get healthy and loose a few lbs. I’m 62 years old and have some weight to loose. This will be part of my routine workout to begin my journey. Out of the bed of course. ❤️

    I FREAKING LOVE THIS WORKOUT. I HAVE DONE IT 3 TIMES AS OF NOW, AND I FEEL SO ACCOMPLISHED AFTER I FINISH AND I LITERALLY SWEAT SO MUCH AND TURN RED LIKE A TOMATO LOL. THIS IS MY FIRST TIME ACTUALLY FOLLOWING A VIDEO WITHOUT STOPPING EVEN THOUGH I GET TIRED AFTER THE FIRST 15 MINS, I STILL PUSH MYSELF TO THE END WITHOUT STOPPING. I RECOMMEND THIS TO WHOEVER IS HESITATING TO DO IT. YOU GOT THIS. HAVE A GREAT WORKOUT BESTIES:)

    adjfo OMG youre not alone. People told me that a lot of those who had heart attack are those people who just sit, sleep and never do anything at home.     The brilliance of this workout is that it is low impact, low intensity, steady state workout. Perfect to do DAILY and you can easily reach 30-40 mins.

    I must be weird. Whenever I look for new workout videos I always mute it. And if I pick it I leave it muted and work out in complete silence (it's a little after 5am when I start). I only unmute it when it's a video working with weights and I end up turning my head a way that stops me from seeing what they're doing

    I have lost 10kg in 50 days by just running in circle in my room. Min 10k steps everyday and no strict diet, only skipped taking rice. Magical result. You can double up the result by combining with zumba and workout as well.. but basically i have lost 10kg with running and skipped rice 👍👍👍 in 50 days.

    I’m doing this while online class and our camera need to stay on so my whole class did this with me after some minutes even my 48 year old teacher, and he said before we start class we are doing this it doesn’t matter if you’re late for an other online class we are doing this because this is fun, I love online class 😂😂 For the people who wants to know in my city there is still a lot of Corona so my school is afraid to be open again but we are still learning everything online. ☺️ (Okay it is already 5 months ago that i posted this and our first day at school was in march this year and i have noticed so many changes in my class eveyone is more active in gym class and enjoy doing exersices and way before this my class was just always sitting while 2 guys were playing basketball in gym class and every girl got slimmer legs 😱 and my teacher lost so many fat by his stomach, first it was an inside joke in my class that my teacher was santa claus because hé looked like him because of the big belly but now we cant call him that anymore and we also noticed that my teacher is more active sometimes hé jumps out of his chair and play music and just dance 😂 we are so happy hé is our teacher)

    I wish Joanna had more routine as this one, I'm 72 years old I can follow her on this one, but her others one are too risky for me I I alternate with Leslie Sansone routine. With jogging in my garden I do my 5km daily, at least 5 times a week.

    I just started this today! I‘m doing my 10K - 20K steps daily since I got diagnosed with a Tarlov Cyst and Pudendal Neuralgia. I had a surgery back in February and wasn’t really able to do any training and now I tried this. It‘s great! Absolutely amazing and I feel so GOOD afterwards! THANK YOU!

    here are my fitbit stats for this workout: 31 mins 133 average bpm 250 calories burned 16 mins: cardio hr zone + 15 min fat burn hr zone. peak hr: 155 my steps from this workout weren't as high as Joanna's, i did 3.3k steps. it's my first time and i'm pretty out of shape, hope to increase this number!

    same thing, i don't think it is 10,000 steps. I'm also doing a step workout with this guy. his 30 mins is 3300 steps and he has a step counter. REPS to the RHYTHM

    @@taggiemiranda1746 she never said it was a 10,000 step routine :) she challenged us to doing 10k steps daily and offered this routine to help get us there. this one gives you roughly 3-4k steps depending on your speed for everything and she recommends also doing it 2x a day + daily walking

    @@thisislorn That's right.. You cannot do 10000 steps in 30mins, its just not possible. But if you do this 2 times then it's done. I am able to do 13000-14000 steps a day and this has helped me to lose weight with some normal diet

    @@JIHYODORANT What is low to some might be high for others. I am only 144.78 cm and her starting weight is close to mine and I look 6 months pregnant at that weight. For my height a healthy weight is supposed to be around 90 pounds, or 40.8kg.

    Joanna, you are the best of the bests. I started with your fat ppl low impact cardio after years and years of low activity due to work and illness. I could hardly do half of it. A few months passed, you built my strength and faith up, I slowly added other workouts, and yesterday I walked approx 15 kilometers with just 3 little breaks. Went home and still had time to play with the cats! Today I did 50 mins of excercise, this included. I am no longer so short of breath, no longer so angry, my body desires for healthier food and really, I do not know how to thank you all of this!

    I just discovered you yesterday and I have 2 workouts under my belt! I’ll be 58 in December and although I work out every day, I feel I continue to gain or plateau instead lose weight and tone. I think you are going to give me the push I need to reach my goals! Thank you for your drive and motivation! ❤️💪👟
