We started making short films for our students, they could see at home before lessons. We could then concentrate more going in depth with the models and theories in class. We also teach courses as e-learning and blended learning, and we found that the films fit well with this teaching method. After placing the videos on KZread we quickly found out that students from other schools and fields of study used the films. We, therefore decided that we would publish all our films on KZread in the future.

We hope you find the channel useful and that you recommend the channel to others.

    Schein emphasizes that the underlying assumptions, those unspoken beliefs, are the true drivers of an organization's culture. They are powerful and complex to change, ultimately defining how a company functions. By analyzing these underlying assumptions, you gain a deeper understanding than just the surface-level structure or metaphors for organization. You see the core values and beliefs that shape the company's operations.

    Thanks 4 ⭐️ Video! Great 5F Theory!! Reality recheck!!! In short, the problem with these "Theories" is that most people believe in them as being Science & Natur Forces!!!! Only theory existing working 90% correct is Einstein, the rest is as true as trowing Dices = Chances 😎still itvwas mention as Government = Influence / Corrupt and 😅 and 2nd as important "Chances" 😂 which is Exactly my given po(.)nt👍 And here we have future Accountants telling US All how they world should look like, and it's Main Factors are Government (less) Control or 🧊 Chance = Advanced Chaos Theory would be a better world, and it does actually exist 👋 Still, Thanks 4 Great Video and Great (AC) Theory!!

    How does theory affect staff retention

  • @flixabout
    @flixabout3 ай бұрын

    @palesamashigoane5550 Thank you for your response. The model does not directly deal with personnel retention. However, you can say that if information and orders come from the top to the bottom of the model, and those at the operational level are never heard higher up, then it will affect staff retention. We hope the answer makes sense. We also hope you tell others about our channel and subscribe.

    Thank you so much for your explanation. I have a quick question: if the buyer's demand increases, in this case how the following forces will be The threat of new entrants = ( Low or High or Medium)? Threat of substitutes = ( Low or High or Medium)? Rivalry among existing companies = ( Low or High or Medium)? Bargaining power of buyers = ( Low or High or Medium)? Bargaining power of suppliers = ( Low or High or Medium)? By your explanation, I figured out that rivalry among existing will be (Lower). But what about the other forces?

  • @flixabout
    @flixabout10 ай бұрын

    @RSAL232 It depends on how difficult it is to meet the increased requirements. If it is easy and no one in the industry wants to meet the new requirements, there will be new entrants. The Threat of new entrants is high. You can make the same analogy inference for the rest of the elements in the figure. Difficult to do - low bargaining power of buyers - Easy to do - high bargaining power of buyers. Hope the answer makes sense. Otherwise, you are very welcome to contact us again. Summary: Dynamic Capabilities of Firms by David Teece and Gary Pisano Background: David J. Teece is a Professor at the University of California, and Gary Pisano is a Professor at Harvard Business School. They introduced the "Appropriability Regimes" model which explains how companies can prevent their innovations from being easily copied by competitors. Appropriability Regimes Model: Appropriability combines the concepts of property and replicability. It looks at the ease of replication of innovations and how effective intellectual property rights are at preventing imitation. The model has two main categories: Inherent Replicability (how easy/hard it is to imitate a product/service). Intellectual Property Rights (the strength of patents, trademarks, etc., which can be loose or tight). Four fields result from these categories, indicating if a firm's innovations are weak, moderate, or strong in protection: Weak: Easy to copy with loose intellectual property rights. Moderate (First Type): Difficult to copy, but with loose intellectual property rights. Moderate (Second Type): Easy to copy, but with strong intellectual property rights. Strong: Difficult to copy and protected by strong intellectual property rights. Examples: Weak Field: Standard clothes without trademarks or common industrial screws. First Moderate Field: IKEA's unique logistics system, or online platforms like Amazon and Alibaba that possess hard-to-imitate knowledge about their customers. Second Moderate Field: Pfizer's patented drugs, Apple and Lego's strong trademarks. Strong Field: Pfizer and Apple's research and development prowess, or IKEA's ownership of prime real estate. Strategic Dimensions of Firms: Teece and Pisano argue that firms need dynamic capabilities and categorize them under three strategic dimensions: Organizational and Managerial Processes: Integration: Coordination within and outside the company. Learning: Improvement via repetition and experimentation. Reconfiguration and Transformation: Adapting to changing environments faster than competitors. Position: Four assets: Technological (know-how and patents), Complementary (distribution channels, service capability), Financial (cash position, balance sheet), and Locational (geographic advantages). Paths: Past, present, and future routes a firm takes, influenced by fixed costs, core rigidities, and technological opportunities. Criticism: The model doesn't clearly define what qualifies as "loose" or "tight" in terms of intellectual property rights or clarify when replication is deemed easy or hard. It doesn't specify the competencies a company should acquire or the direction to pursue. The only clear advice is that doing nothing leads to a company's decline. In essence, the Dynamic Capabilities model emphasizes that firms need to innovate continuously and adapt to changing market environments to remain competitive. While the model provides a framework for understanding these dynamics, it has been critiqued for lacking specifics.

    The title of the article that John Kotter wrote in 1995 was "Leading Change: Why Transformation Efforts Fail". In which he mentioned, Error 1: "Not Establishing a Great Enough Sense of Urgency", Error 2: Not creating ... Error 3: Lacking a vision and so on. I personally prefer this pre-mortem like approach to the "positive" thinking one. In other words, use any model you like but pay attention to Kotter's - negatives.

    @LD-wf2yt Thank you for your response. You are absolutely right. If too little is done in each of the 8 steps, the change will fail.
