Season 3 sucked outside of some okay moments. It just makes up a bunch of new characters and expects there to be some sort of emotional attachment to them all of a sudden. The whole fairy subplot thing was dumb, explained away too quickly and was just nonsensical. It honestly hurts the original characters and the whole point of the show to me. The ending is sappy, their are again *no stakes* and they end up sidelining many other fun characters in lieu of whatever that long special was. I didn't like it. Hilda ended at Mountain King for me. Its the best overarching and complete ending we got out of the series.

What was also so stupid to me is that they have human forms FOR NO FUCKING REASON Like it's never used in a meaningful manner, like for example, hiding in the "human world" because they need to go there for something. No, they just take on human forms, because they can. They fucking do it in situations where it's absolutely unnecessary, like talking to other beast men or living in their own damn city, where they don't need to hide. It doesn't show us that Shirou Ogami hates humans when he is most of the time himself in a human form. And in general, I don't see the logic behind making a show about anthropomorphic animals, if they mostly chill out in their human forms anyways. Such a dumb show!

I think the ending wasn't the best, and the pacing was WAY off with the final three episodes. But I still really like the show, and I think a lot of people who say there isn't enough action, and its too different from the original show and the movie, didn't understand the concept. It was a flawed show, but the message was there and works, the execution could've been better. Quick edit: I'm not saying people who dislike it are wrong for that, but people who say it was too different and they shouldn't have gone in that direction missed the point. I personally love Steven Universe Future, but there are a lot of flaws.

I just wished to say that I'm one of the people who use himym "copying?" friends as an argument, but only to annoy my sis bcs she always fights with me abt wich one is better lol But to be honest, I do understand that himym is the better serie in quality and even comedy, but I do prefer friends for it's lightness and the comfort it gives me. If there is any moment of sadness that I just can't let go of, be sure I will be watching it. I'm very sure it is due to the idea that "love saves all" - that I don't belive in, but sure does warm my heart - it gives, and the way the characters don't change, what, in the story telling point of view, is outrageous, but when I'm too tired or too emotional to think, friends make possible to not think about the consequences of a bad remark or a fight, as everything will turn out okay and go back to the way it started. Life is so heavy, so mind-filling and scary that having a small laughs with some wholesome moments really saves the rainy days. I'm not talking badly about the rewiew, as I actually stand by it and truly loved the video, whatsoever I did realised that some of the flaws it has is the reason I love it so much. Not that it makes it better but I wished to take it off my heart. (I'm not an english speaker so some things might have been written wrongly or even a patter of writting that is common in my country might be stragened in the english rules, so sorry for anything.)

I rewatched Friends and it did not age well at all, all the jokes felt dry, but when I was younger I loved it HIMYM though, I’ll always have fond memories of it, even if the last season jokes don’t land I still remember one joke about how Joey tried to learn French and he would say blah blah or something, that’s like kindergarten fart joke level of humor

I think with Nazuna, she's supposed to be an allegory of blind faith. But not just that people blindly trusted her with being the silver wolf, but that she was also naive enough to trust Allan and Cliff with what to do. she likely trusted them because she wasn't wise enough to make her own observations and judgment. Instead, trusting two shady adults who had complete control over what she would know or learn. Not having the courage to explore the world of beast men on her own terms. Not helping that she was immediately kidnapped after her initial transformation, and not having the intuition to realize her rescue by Cliff was pure theater.

excellent video! Land of the Lustrous is my current obsession. It's genius. Tamako Market is one i'd recommend if you havn't seen it. It has an absolutely beautiful portrayal of a trans woman although she's a side character. Also good queer and non-gender conforming main characters :)

It was a great show but they stretched the story too much 9 season just to see the the girl that marry the main protagonist. Then they killed her for some reason and the main protagonist goes back to the girl he's been trying to get from s01. The only character i liked was barney the show just go from 📉 to 📈 wasted 72 hours (72 hours are like how many days plz tell me) the show sucked in many season. The writer didnt have anything to write so they just scribbled shit like ted and marshall back story which aint related to the plot of the series. I liked tracy but the writers smoked to much of weed to kill her.

I'm 2 years late but... I'm speechless. This is a wonderful video and is like we're almost intruding into your diary. My first queer anime, or the one I can think of is Ranma 1/2. I don't know if it counts as queer itself, but ranma changing from female to male was an awakening for me and I was very young. Soon, in many of the anime I watched, I was always interested in androgynous characters. I always knew I was bisexual but I never knew what my gender was. Today I am happy being non-binary. And about Evangelion...are you me? LMAOO I saw it in 2020 and the ending left me devastated. Things that I thought I had clear about myself (not about gender or sexuality) no longer seemed so clear. How do I perceive myself? How do others perceive me? Above all, my fears and anxieties. A spectacular video!

Ok, for the record Adam is my favorite character. He is a bad person, but he is fun to watch. I love his songs and his jokes. Even as a woman. And I'm not saying I don't know he objectives women, he does. I do feel as if Kross should have used Valentino as a villain character that no one likes, because no one does. 5:23 And it would have fit better with the video because Valentino is Angel Dust's abuser.

Val is another example of a properly hateable character, yes. I used Adam as my example because his place in the story is sorta already tied up neatly in a bow since he was killed, whereas Val clearly still has a lot more to do. It'd just be the difference between saying "imagine watching Val die. It would feel cathartic" and "remember how cathartic it was to watch Adam die"

I don't see this mentioned alot, but i prefer Nifty in the pilot than in the actual show. In the pilot, she actually acts like an adult women instead of an child who needs the other characters babysitting her. She was also one of the few characters that still retain viewpoints from the era she was alive (I'm betting they took that out in case their would be people who thought the show was agreeing with those views).

Anime had only really started entering the public consciousness a few years prior. You might catch a special broadcast on Sci-Fi or something, I think I saw Kiki's Delivery Service on Disney. Earlier than that I'd seen Robotech (Macross), Voltron, and used to watch Ronin Warriors after school (there wasn't a cartoon channel; you got them before and after school and on Saturday morning in the 90s). In the late 90s and early 00s the only place to get anime was from stores that don't even exist anymore like Media Play and other electronics shops that sold VHS and early DVDs. I swear, being a millennial is experiencing cultural whiplash every two years. Edit: I got off topic. My point is that Fruits Basket was one of the headline manga and anime that actually made it over to the US and even those of us that never got into it at least knew about it.

i really feel like helluva and hazbin have just woobified/flanderized these characters; hazbin mostly feels like exposition dumping to cram all the worldbuilding and backstories into a small amount of episodes alotted. if you guys want a very good representation of someone whose undergone similar trauma to angel's; astarion from baldur's gate 3, hes also a sexually forward character due to the trauma of being pimped but in a way thats not uncomfortable and that genuinely makes sense... hes also not a "perfect victim" because hes had most of his humanity forcibly sanded down out of him by his abuse... he also adopts a fake sexual persona and spends a chunk of the game undergoing a personal story to deconstruct that... he also has white hair and red eyes... huh. viv maybe you needn't try w angel cuz someone else has already done a character super similar to him way better lol
