My biggest regret from Voyager is that they should have had a couple of episodes where they showed what it was like when the crew got home. Missed opportunity for some good story telling.

Everything is based on a true storie. Seinfeld has several stories going on in each episode. So it’s based on several stories.

Really shows you how shockingly realistic the 1997 depiction is, and even it isn’t completely accurate to reality.

This was really interesting. I wish we had been able to hear more about Danny O'Keefe's family. And also what things O'Keefe contributed to various episodes. I also would be very interested to see photos of the writers as they looked while writing, versus how they look now. There is a reason for that. There are a lot of smart, funny guys who, when teenagers and post teens, don't really know how "put themselves together". or haven't grown into their looks yet. Larry David is a really good example of that. By 2000 he was comfortable with himself, and had his look. But in his younger years, the times of his life when he was most desperate to attract women, he had no idea how to present himself. But once they've achieved success, a degree of wealth, all that goes away and we see the mature, well presented person. I find it interesting to see that version of themselves that existed when they were experiencing all odd and excruciating social moments.

If i directed the 20th century studios 100th anniverery theme, it will have a melody so damm emotional, it will make you remember the past... Also it would have the message down at the bottom saying "100 years, and then some!"

It makes sense that she snapped. She said no, and he didn't listen. Her entire world was flipped, without a say in it. I saw in the comments that apparently caves va, or someone else, said it had parallels to rape. It is similar in a lot of ways, the lack of consent, bodily violations, etc. And when you give someone who has just been scarred like that, in a genuinely fucking horrific way and voilating, they CAN and WILL snap. Especially when you give them neurotoxin to let out on the people who had contributed, unwittingly or not, to your pain. EVERY scientist there was a part of the cogs of apature, the whole of which had hurt her. It didn't matter, especially to her, that they had no doing in this- they were parts of the machine that had hurt her, and they would pay. Cave was so blinded by his own ego and ambitions he created a double-sided coin, both a victim and a monster. He ignored her blatant "no" because, well, she must like this- it's immortality! Who could say no? She must be being her humble old self, refusing to take such a golden opportunity. But i think, somewhere deep down, cave knew she didn't want this. He knew and still forced her through it, because he was too immature and arrogant to take no for an awnser. And so, GlaDOS lets out all her rage and voilation onto everyone in the building at bring your daughter to work day, still rage-filled and still voilated. She is stuck in a body which is not hers, and is forced to pick up the pieces of herself, or whats left of her, after that. To add insult to injury, through testing, she stumbles opon chell- who throws a wrench into her destructive coping mechanism, not giving her the satisfaction of hurting another like she was. Infact, chell DEFEATS her, hurting her once again, nomatter how justified it was to. Fast forward to portal 2, and we learn shes revered around aperture by the "other" robots. It draws parallels to how victims of such crimes are blamed and scrutinized for their truama responses. After being reawakened, she once again sees that bastard chell and again tries to let her anger out on her voilently. This doesnt work, obviously, and she gets voilated YET AGAIN with the core transfer. Yada yada, over being a potato stuck on the portal gun she probably grows a bond w chell, yada yada, onto the interesting part. In the final scene, she stops trying to kill chell. Shes tried, again and again, and failed. Maybe shes learned the voilence doesnt really work. It doesnt heal her. Once shes done hurting another, she once again feels that void and that terrible feeling and that terrible moment all come back to her. Shes atleast realized it doesnt work, ehich is the first step to healing. Sure, her apparent self-isolation isnt good, but its better than murder. And, she also admits to being hurt- and admits to appreciating chells company. She even makes a final ballad for her out of turrets, singing about chell, both telling her to fuck off and implying a sort of motherly bond GlaDOS has to her. She is, in a way, healing. Or atleast beginning to. Sorry if this made no sense i just yapped my ass off lol RQ EDIT: from what ive heard she treats atlas and p-body like her children. She seems to be healing from that and im GlaD.

This is interesting. Seinfield had great writing. Id love to see how an episode took shape from start to finish. Each writer has their own ideas and vision. The way they would weave them all together and build upon them from previous episodes is impressive. Seeing how its done would be a delight.
