If I recall correctly, Lightoller stated, I think it was in his memoirs, that when Astor asked him for the number of the boat, Lightoller was under the impression that Astor wished to complain about him to the White Star Line later on. In any case, Astor wouldn't live to make a complaint. Gotta love how in the 2012 miniseries, instead of Madeleine Astor entering a boat from A Deck on the port side being loaded by Lightoller, she enters a boat from the Boat Deck on the starboard side being loaded by Lowe. Normally I wouldn't mind such liberties, A Night to Remember did the same thing, but Fellowes claimed his miniseries was "thoroughly researched" and would "set the record straight". And he certainly did not deliver in that regard.

The Astor situation was even worse, apparently they nearly got off on Boat 7 together, but they decided to wait.

Apparently if u look carefully in the 1997 James Cameron version Madeleine Astor is in the the same boat as Molly Brown and Rose's mother Ruth.

Poor old JJ Astor should have been let in the boat, I don't see the logic in denying a man a spot when it was half empty and no one else around

It's so messed up how Astor wasn't allowed to accompany his wife on the lifeboat. Sadly he would perish during the sinking, being among the passangers who were crushed by the forward funnel when it collapsed. James Cameron's film wrongly shows him in the grand staircase when the dome implodes, implying he drowned there.

Titanic week now! She would now be in open waters. Tomorrow, Jack Philips, the wireless operator would fix the problem with the wireless set. Which, at the time, you gotta wait until the ship makes it back to port. Because of him, maybe more could have died.

If possible please do all the clips where either the guy that played Love Joy lives or dies.
