Homelander and Butcher are completely unhinged this season. There is a path of chaos both of them are on that will inevitably be a collision. All of the other characters are fully wandering around in the dark until the leaders assemble them The show could come back at the end of the season but they are not known much for reining it in. Could be more outrageous gore.

When the Boys digs at the right, it's pretty obviously satire. But the amount of times you've said "wokeness", it could also be a satire video. It's not just Disney, the entire Hollywood infrastructure is mandating it, and the Oscars rules tries to ensure compliance. But if you really want to know what's going on you got to go up some levels. All these companies are doing the same thing at the same time for the same reason, too few people controlling too many things at the top.

At this point, I think writers and directors who are good at their job know to stay the hell away from Disney. Look at the size of the list of Directors who had solid careers until they worked for Lucasfilm or Marvel shows on Disney+, and they've done absolutely bugger all since.
