I don't have super hero fatigue; I have bad movie fatigue. I can watch 12 superhero movies a year if they are good. I hope this one is--it looks that way so far.

No, sometimes you can't watch 12 good superhero movies a year if that's all Hollywood puts out, Martin Scorsese has said this NUMEROUS TIMES. Sometimes you need to watch indie or mid-budget original films. Where are all the new Fight Clubs, Interstellars, Nightcrawlers, Blade Runner 2049s, Pulp Fictions, The Godfathers, and Taxi Drivers. The problem with modern Hollywood and the reason it's failing isn't because of bad superhero movies because the MCU has plagued and corporately brainwashed the masses into thinking those shitty movies are high art when basically they are the movie equivalent to junk food. If you want good superhero films watch The Dark Knight Trilogy, Zack Snyder's DC films, Logan and Joker. I blame audience's obession with safety and conformity and lack of wanting to think on a much deeper and philosophical level THAT'S WHY we should be supporting directors like Christopher Nolan and Denis Villeneuve because both their films are not only the best we have in the modern era, but they don't spoon-feed you a political agenda. There are so many reasons Hollywood is in a rogue patch right now and it's not just "bad superhero movies" and overly didactic political agenda's, but the lack of new auteur filmmakers and the lack of original, new, creative ideas, it's as simple as that.

Yep, which is why I'll happy rewatch iron Man and guardians of the galaxy over and over again, but will not go near most of the new superhero movie

Hugh Jackman is in the same league with RDJ. They both carried their respective franchises single handedly. I couldn't care less about the rest.

The 4th wall-breaking is integral to Deadpool, so I hope it stays (as long as it's funny and/or clever).

I can't wait for this. I have been an X-Men comic fan since back when they were good (I wont get into present day) and I have ALWAYS enjoyed the Love/Hate relationship between these two characters. Ryan Reynolds has been so good at bringing the Merc with a Mouth to the screen nicely, though I wish they had utilized Wades other inner voices since the beginning.

Multiverse has only been good for cameos otherwise I never cared for it. I've never been a big Deadpool fan but Ryan Reynolds does a great job. I think Hugh Jackman will help ground it with serious tone and still allowing the comedy. First time I've been excited for a Marvel movie in some time.

Easter egg: reference to Rob Liefeld (creator of Deadpool) it says “Liefeld’s just feet”, this is a joke to the fact that he doesn’t know how to draw feet. The villain is Cassandra Nova, Professor X’s sister.

From what I heard Ryan Reynolds (who also works as a producer for his Deadpool movies) fought pretty hard to keep it alive, R rated and convinced Hugh to reprise his Wolverine role. I think it's pretty safe to say without Ryan we wouldn't have such good movie renditions of Deadpool.

MCU has always been trash. Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy is better.

Regarding those Deadpool DVD covers. Walmart did that back when the last or 1st deadpool movie came out. Theyre pretty sick. I got Predator and Fight Club 😂

I agree with the point about the trailer not revealing the plot of the movie. Like I have stopped watching romcom movies, I just watch the trailers and I'm good.

Not forgetting that they're close friends away from the cameras. That only adds to the onscreen chemistry between them and I, for one, cannot wait for this movie to drop on streaming for free. No. I won't be dropping $20 on a big-screen viewing. I already have one of those at home, thx...

Yes, it has a great potential, a good history, good charachters, good actors, good references from where take scenes, it have all... but it is still a Disney movie, so I honestly can't believe it will be a good movie till I see a good deal more of what is going on.

Friendly reminder, Disney owns Deadpool. Paying to see this movie puts money in Monopoly Mouse's pocket.

I'm cautiously optimistic. I've said that before though and the bait and switch inevitably happens somewhere along the way. So we'll see.

3:06 breaking the fourth wall is something that requires skill. In the comics, she hulk and Deadpool both did it well. In the show, only Deadpool did it well. This is because of the skill of the writers.

I already watched the trailer and I know how to think abou it but, watching a pretty face talking about it, it's a plus.

I'm looking forward to it. One of the few films that i'm excited. A lot of people don't like multiverse stuff. I personally like it. If is done well. It gives us a chance to revisit some previous versions of these characters. Like Spider-Man: No Way Home. It gave us a chance to revisit Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield and see what they have been up to since we last saw them. If is not done well, we end up with something like The Flash.

with Deadpool & Wolverine and X-Men '97 I feel like Marvel is on the positive rebound. Daredevil Born Again with Punisher also seems promising.

I have been catching a lot of news on this movie and Ryan has been fighting to keep the movie he wants and winning. There is no reshoot with a ton of DEI cr@p pushed in, no add in of She Hulk showing up and stomping Wolverine (yes that was being pushed). So this looks solid to me.

Loving the trailer, I do agree I hate when a trailer gives Way too much away, which is why I feel trailers should Not be any longer than a minute 30 or 2 minutes. But this trailer wets your appetite without Giving away anything (Unlike Immortals years ago, where I felt due to its trailer I felt as if I'd seen the movie a 2nd time.)

Count me in for this one. I see Deadpool as separate from the MCU even if this is his debut appearance in the MCU. That detachment is enough for me to have hope that it won't be part of the phase 4/5 sludge.

I think this is going to do very well. I usually just watch movies in my home theater. I think it was precovid since I actually went to the theater. I’ll probably go see this in the theater, imax possibly, at least once. Unless it sucks the first time.

It's not "superhero fatigue", the quality of movies have been few and far between since "Endgame". Hollywood thought everyone would keep showing up, but there are no thrills. No fun. THIS, on the other hand, looks amazing and I cant wait!

Breaking the fourth wall is ONLY good anymore when Deadpool does it cos a) it's funny when he does it and b) it's done in a way that makes you feel like he's bringing you along on a wild ride with him.

These movie is gonna be more the exception than the rule

I swear if they don't do a scene of Logan trying to claw Wade's mouth close, yet Wade says, "Nope, I'm still talking and I'm never gonna shut up!", I'll be disappointed.

I do have hopes for this movie, but I will still wait for trusted sources to let me know if it's a good movie opening day. I know Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have been pushing back against putting DEI in this.

I think this will be better than Deadpool 2, just at the addion of Wolverine. If it follows the same format, it could be the best Deadpool yet. A desperately needed shot in the arm for Marvel.

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing Hugh as Wolverine again.

This movie looks great. I haven’t been this excited for a superhero movie some Spider-Man NWH. Matter of factly, there hasn’t been any good CBM’s since NWH.

I actually don't mind the multi-verse thing because it means there's a lot of potential to be had with it, wouldn't life be boring if this Earth was the only dimension in all of creation?

Not a fan of the 4th wall schtick. All the fbombs in the trailer feel forced imo. If you want to see DP without all the crude humor and 4th wall malarky check out the Joe Kelly classic run from the 90s. Issues 1-33. Deadpool was actually genuinely funny in these issues without the toilet humour. Just all snark and wit actually done well, with some heart too. Kelly thought of him as a bugs bunny type character. Christopher Priest bought in the 4th wall idea after Kelly, and imo, it's been downhill from there. To read these go check out the Marvel epic collection line.

I hope that’s just the trailer and not officially in the movie. Hoping it’s going to be very serious and not campy. I don’t mind him breaking the 4th wall.

Reguarding multiversal and dimension troupe. I don’t think it’s overplayed or bad. I just think if you’re going to do it you can’t rely on that alone for interest and a good plot. Some projects just overly rely on it and that is where the problem lies. For marvel you have to expect it because it’s literally in the saga of multiversal threats and heroes. I think the top multiversal stories are Rick and Morty, Everything Everywhere all at one, and Spiderverse. They show that multiversal/dimension stories are top tier when the characters are great and the writing is there.

Madonna! I totally dig the choice for like a prayer, fits.

I'm hoping Jackman keeps it from being too slapstick, like Deadpool 2.

Huge Xmen fan. Still reading them to this day. I always felt Xmen/Deadpool movies felt different from the MCU. Obviously they past Xmen movies weren't Marvel/Disney so they felt different. But I think this movie will be a typical Deadpool movie. Entertaining at least. Ryan Reynolds plays a PERFECT Deadpool. He's exactly like that in the comics.

Ant-Man's skeleton in the costume and the fact that it was a base, is dark and twisted even for this movie 💀. I wonder if the wild sentinels, featured also in X-Men 97's ep.5, killed him.

The “multiverse” in comics is a way for writers to try new things with established characters without them being canon so they can be risky and not worry so much about repercussions about the characters. This can result in some one-shot stories in a single issue (the “What If” series comes to mind) or maybe a short miniseries/graphic novel (“Old Man Logan,”). If it flops, oh well it doesn’t impact anything. Before this concept became popular in tv/movies, all the superhero shows and movies were just seen as direct adaptations from the mainstream comics for better or worse. Some casting could be considered perfect (Tobey Maquire as Peter Parker/Spider-Man) while some designs would be considered…not perfect (Galactus from Fantastic Four 2: The Rise of the Silver Surfer). With the concept now established, it allows writers more wiggle room and creativity into movies and shows without fear of ruining the established reputation of characters…again for better or worse. Hence why we’re also getting a new take on the upcoming Fantastic Four movie: yes we could get an origin story…for the 3rd time, and see Norton Radd again as the Silver Surfer for time #2. But likely viewers (comic fans and non) would be bored with it again, so they’re trying with another established run (Earth X series).

I won't give any credit to Disney for green-lighting this one. I'm giving all of the kudos to Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and those people close with them, all of whom I can guarantee fought like hell to not only get this movie made, but to make sure it kept that violent, curse-filled goodness that is such a staple of Deadpool (and by extension Wolverine a la Logan). I am still cautionary because the movie hasn't released yet, but if the teaser and now the trailer are any indication this movie is going to absolutely slap. LFG

The first two Deadpool's are my favorite Marvel movies. So I hope this one is good, I love the trailer though. The 4th wall breaks are ok with me, because it's a part of the comics. The Kevin Fiege joke I'm ok with, because MCU fans and comic readers will understand it and not all the jokes are for everyone.

I dont particularly cate for Deadpool, and didnt really like those 2 movies. Big fan of Wolverine though, so i will probably see this, in spite of Deadpool.

I thought it was pretty average to be honest.

The movie is now slated at over 3 hours. Feigi and Disney want to cut out over a half hour, reshoot with the female Wolverine and DEI elements. Ryan and Hugh are pushing back and are succeeding.
