Question? I have and use a Pro-10 and have a lot of empty ink cartridges. I don’t want to throw them away so is there a place that you know of that will take the cartridges?

Hey! My canon pro 1000 slept for 2 years in a box after moving. When I started it again, a error 7400 appeared. Canon told me to buy a new one, cheaper than a reparation plus transport. I was sad. And one day, with no particular reason, it started working again for a few weeks. But now the code error 7400 came back like that. I don’t know why, and don’t know what to do. Did this happen to anyone? What should I do? Thanks, blessing

Hello Jose! Thank you for the video! May I ask, how can I fit the picture to the paper to get the same borders on the paper with canon's profesional print & layout program?

Have a 8550. When i select print the monitor picture shows even boarders. However when i print the picture the top & both sides in the portrait are equal, lets say a 1/4”, the bottom boarder is significantly larger say 1”. Fit to page is enabled. Any thoughts on how to fix. Thanks and love your videos.

I am having the same issue on the ET 8500. If I print with borders they are uneven. If I print borderless it will stretch the image out so that I am losing the edges of the original image. It may be a windows issue since it is doing the same thing with the pro 10 and ET 8500? There is no difference printing through Adobe Acrobat or Photoshop.

Coincidentally, I was trying to get this to work with an ET-8550. It printed a little off center from a postcard sheet so once I tore them, there was a thicker border on one edge versus another. It was meant to be centered in Epson Print Layout. I can only assume it's because I used rear feed and it just went off alignment a bit.

I know this is not a question about above subject but need an answer. I prefer using my Canon chip resetter on my PGI250XL and CLI251 cartridges (non ARC). But I can't find anymore non Arc cartridges, I read people like them but I prefer the resetter. Will the Canon resetter work on ARC chips? Please let me know, thank you.

Hi Jose, wondering how I can clean my sponges? I do not print borderless but over time sponges have become saturated with ink and they are now staining the back of my larger size prints. Is it just a matter of dabbing the sponges with absorbing paper? I'd love to see a video of how you clean your Pro-1000 sponges including how to move the print head to access all areas. Thank you!

This is great! 👍🏼 I have a few more questions. Are there any acrylic plates specifically designed for sublimation? The products I have looked at only mention that they are made of acrylic material. Should they be coated with polyester? If there are suitable acrylic plates, where can I find them? Alternatively, how can we print images on acrylic materials that are not suitable for sublimation? Thanks in advance.

hi Jose - really appreciate the information you provide, very eye opening on comparing multiple printer outputs. I take it that the Canon Accounting Manger is only working with the Pro 1000 and not older Pro models or maybe I am doing something wrong with my Pro 100 ??

Well, that's the reason. You can not let a printer sit that long. Sorry but cleaning cycles are your only option with this printer.

Thanks Jose! What about Brother printers? The best printers I've ever had were Brothers. Did a contract job for a company a while back and needed my own printer so I could use my own laptop without having to sync up to their network. (They were very concerned about security and I was only going to be there for a few months.) Bought a little $89.00 brother. It copied, printed and scanned better than their fancy $20-30,000 machine. Mine was slower of course. The only thing I ever used theirs for was printing on 11x17. I haven't used it in several years, but may try it out using Jose's tricks.

I have a Canon Pro 300 that just gave me the waste pads are getting full error. It's currently working but after seeing your video on that subject I know there is nothing to do but toss the printer. I bought the 300 after my Pro 10 gave me the dreaded print head error (can't remember the number now). When I got the 300 it was shipped and arrived broke and I had to send it back and take out the ink and the printhead, so when the replacement arrived I had two printheads! One is currently in the 300 and the other is just in storage. I still have the Pro10 that's been out in the shop for about 3 years now with the ink cartridges still installed! My question is, it there anything I should do to resurrect the Pro 10 other that switching the printhead?

Hello, I just found your channel. I have a question? If printing on transfer paper or transparent paper? What would be a nice printer to go with for quality. Not trying to spend a bunch of money. Mainly making small baseball card size materials. I just know that on my older Epson that uses fluid ink. It did not stick to the transparency paper. But when using a printer that prints from a powder it works fine. I appreciate any feedback from anybody also in the chat. Thanks

After eight years, I am getting back to printing. I have plenty to learn. I purchased the ET8550 from all the positive reviews and the Tank ink costs. Eight years ago, I had an Epson Stylus Pro 3880. It has not been used for eight years and looks brand new. If I may ask a sidebar question, what is the best way to restart the 3880? I know it will use a lot of ink, but I would like to use it until I can purchase the Epson 5370.

Use original Epson 114 bottled ink (CMY PB and Grey) (for the ET8550) to refill the XP15000 cartridges, so you will have maximum fade resistance. The red can be approximated with 80% magenta + 20% yellow (I don't see any significant difference after profiling), or use Canon bottled G53 RED ink (Canon Chromalife 100+ fade resistance). Aftermarket ink won't match original inks in terms of fade resistance.
