Jose.... this is just the video in your series I was waiting for! I have a two year old PRO 1000 in my photo business. Thus far I use OEM inks and not keen on using third party inks as I still have the remaining time on an extended 3 year service warranty. My heaviest use of inks is the black and grey photo inks as I am an astrophotographer and lots of black is used up for those night sky photos ;-) I am thinking that I could stay with the 80ml OEM bottles for a while but first go with the refills on the photo black and grey. I will look into this as I already weigh my cartridges to make sure I change them out when they really need changing and not too early.... or too late. I suspect that going with third party blacks and greys would be worrisome for color tone issues than the color inks. For me a big component is the life-span of the prints. I have always gotten long life fade resistant prints with the Epson inks and thus far the Canon.My customers hang my prints in places that may not be the best for longevity so it is nice when I don't get customer complaints of fading or color change. By the way I called Canon support about another of their products and I asked if there is a planned replacement for the PRO 1000 at one point. They said that they have been told there won't be a replacement for the 1000. I don't know if this is true or not but something to follow up on. I went through two of the Epson 38xx series of printers and finally gave up on Epson.... as I had issues with ink spitting on both as they got older even with daily printing and attention to cleaning and maintenance. No issues with my PRO 1000 at all. I did update to the latest firmware and that made some difference it appears in ink handling. I also like the increase in pano prints to 17" x 48". I use Qprint on your recommendation and use their auto daily print routine when I am going to be away for a few days. Thanks for all your support and KZread videos.

Hi Jose, on your previous video about Epson ET 8550 you mentioned using black pigment ink from precisioncolors. I've check that website and they have all set of refills pigment inks for Epson ET8550 printers. Did you try to use them? Thank you Jose for all of your video's
