Dispersed Camping in National Forests and BLM lands. While trying to find places in Arkansas to disperse camp (don't particularly like camping in campgrounds) I couldn't find any channels in Arkansas dedicated to dispersed camping away from campgrounds. I decided to make my own channel. I hope you like my channel and thank you for watching.

Check out Find a place Arkansas
Dad and I had a black bear jump out of a tree in front of us, then immediately it ran into the woods while riding those trails out there on dirt bikes
That would have been a kewl experience. I was ride my motorcycle at Muddy Creek WMA and a Momma Black Bear ran across the road right in front of me and then her two cubs were hot on her heals. LOL Kind of freaked me out. LOL
That is a gorgeous place. Thanks for taking me along.
You bet! Beautiful area around there for sure!
Really like your videos keep up good work
Love your videos in my backyard 😂 we live in a beautiful area
Glad you like them!
Beautiful country! I haven't been in that part of Arkansas in a while. Plenty of Beautiful country in Arkansas.
It is!
Just found your channel, thanks so much! Do you remember how the cell service was at this spot?
I’m pretty sure it was decent, or I probably wouldn’t have stayed there. lol. Gotta have my cell service. Further down the road there isn’t any cell service.
I can't believe this video appeared on my KZread feed. We just sold a 160 acre farm on State Hwy 217 between Booneville and Sugar Grove a month ago and moved to NE Texas. I know exactly where that Lake Vista view is, as I have been there several times. It is such a beautiful area. You didn't mention it, but the mountain across the lake is Mount Magazine, the highest mountain in Arkansas.
Well, you have good taste in videos. ;-) I've been up on Mt Magazine numerous times. Beautiful Ozarks up that way. Thanks for watching!
Great camp spot, still loving your motorcycle even with a flat tire.😊
It sure was! Flats happen.
Thanks Camper Man . Amazing
No problem 👍
Tick Dope! I need some of that whenever I’m near water. Thank you once again for providing so much detail about getting to and exploration of these dispersed camping spots!
Happy to help!
I just tried to find the overlook bit we couldn't find it
I’m thinking google maps doesn’t recognize the road it’s on. Go to these coordinates and follow the road to it. 35.0141126, -93.7024462 I just updated the directions in the video description.
be careful on the bike, ive seen yt vids where bears have chased people!
Will do.
what happened to your KLR 650 ?
I traded my KLR and Honda Rally in for my current Honda Transalp 750. Loving my new bike.
👍👍👍👍👍😃, Ouachita National Forest will be just a 4 hr drive for me in a few weeks. I bought some property 1/2mile from my sister in ne Tx.
Very nice! Not to bad of a drive up to the Ouachitas. Safe Travels!
I have dispersed camp along jack creek road for years and rode the sugar creek trails, Great video. Love that area
Thanks 👍
Yep, that's so cool,as a official old fart,I just want to simulate pedaling while I'm cruising around in the woods
Yeah, makes me fill like I'm exercising. LOL
I'm always proud to say that Arkansas game does a great job of giving its citizens access and facilities to experience the wonder outdoors of the state...boat ramps shooting ranges and more...i have been stationed in states that don't do nothing....except trying to rob its citizens for more money
Agreed.
I was told to buy local from a bike owner,if there is anything wrong you can take it back to the store.
That would be the best bet. But around here there aren't really any EBike sellers. The only one in the area starts out with a $2500 price tag on it.
I really like looking at videos of the mountains in Arkansas. When my wife and I head to Colorado we're planning to go through AR on the way to CO, or on the way back home.
That sounds like an excellent plan. Safe Travels!
Another awesome video!! Been thinking about an ebike myself. Do you mind sharing the make & model? Keep up the amazing adventures!!
Thanks! I really like the one I have. Senada SABRE: amzn.to/3RPUwJ6
Great! Thx!
How about a video explaining exactly how you get cell service through your StarLink dish arrangement? Which cell service do you use? THANKS!!!
Hello! I have Verizon. When I'm out in the boonies with no cell service, I use my starlink for Wi-Fi calling. I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max. To turn on Wi-Fi calling, go to settings, then Cellular, then Wi-Fi Calling. Turn on the Wi-Fi Calling on This iPhone. It's that easy. Most cell phones have this option. Hope this helps.
@@DispersedCamperMan Thanks for the details. I think I understand the procedure now. SAFE TRAVELS and BEST WISHES
That Lake Vista view. Wow! Thanks for sharing your experiences with us.
I like checking out vista views. Love seeing the sprawling country side from up high.
Wow! Another incredible spot! Thank you for sharing~
Thanks for watching!
Wow what a beautiful location, thank you for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it
Another great video from Mark ! I don't get to donate much , but when I do get something from Amazon , I try to use your affiliate account link .
Thanks for that!
Another great looking camp site Mark, thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video! I want an Ebike!
You should! I'm loving mine!
Last time we were there someone had shot several pumpkins at the gun range and left their mess. It's a beautiful area
Their are definitely yahoo's out there trying to ruin it for everybody. Jack Creek area is definitely a crazy beautiful area!..
Appreciate you and your videos!
I appreciate that! Thanks!
Just want to say thank you for sharing all your information with your viewers. It sure helped my husband and I get started in the area and not feel completely lost 😊
You are so welcome! It's one of the main reasons about ten years ago I started this channel. There wasn't that much info out there about dispersed camping. Thanks for watching! and the support!
I don't know about Arkansas but next door in Oklahoma you need a hunting license to make use of the gun ranges located on Wildlife Management Areas.
Jack Creek is not a WMA, it's part of the Ouachita National Forest. The shooting range is maintained and operated by the Federal Forest Rangers, not state leased WMA's. I've never heard of WMA's shooting ranges needing hunting licenses to use them either. I hope it doesn't turn into that.
Can't beat camping creekside! Glad you like your e bike. Cool to have the shooting range there. What a gorgeous area! Tks 👍😎🇨🇦
I definitely will be back to that area.
Not many free ranges around anymore. Nice range.
There sure isn't. Hopefully we can keep this one for a long time to come.
I love watching your videos Wondering what type of work are you in? Are you military? Thx
Thanks for watching! I'm retired military and I sometimes take on part time work. I'm sticking around Arkansas for right now, taking care of some appointments/tying up some loose ends and this time next year, I'm planning on heading out west again.
Thanks!
Thanks a lot. Much appreciated!
Awesome, I am from Arkansas, but was living in AL when me and my six rescues hit the road full time about 16 months ago (I ride a Honda 450 Dual Sport). We only stay in dispersed campsites and didn't know there were any in Arkansas! Thanks for the information! P.S. just looked up the dispersed camping guidelines for the Ouachita National Forest, cannot believe what I just read - "You may camp in a dispersed area for up to 30 days. After 30 days, you must move at least 5 road miles for camping in another dispersed area. Campers may not return to the same campsite within the calendar year."
There are definitely lots of dispersed camping spots in the Ozarks and Ouachita's. I've got it in my head to visit them all before I die. LOL Ouachita NF is definitely a great place to visit.
We sure liked Western Arkansas. We just didn't have time to find the good Mark Signature disbursed spots, but what we did find was great. Blanchard Springs, Lake Dardanelle, Mt. Nebo, Ouachita State Park, Texas Roadhouse Steak dinner, Big Fir, Wilhelmina State Park, and other placces in-between. We did see a couple gun ranges which I wish we had here in Washington. Take care Mark.
Thanks for watching! Looked like you had a good trip. Y'all need to come back for another visit.
@DispersedCamperMan We plan to return to Arkansas. It really is that nice there to bring us back. I just happened to chat with a guy walking by the house, very interested in the truck and camper. He was from Littlerock of all places, so we had a good travel conversation.
Very nice spot . Stay safe.
Thank you, I will
Hello! Living my life through you because our camping days are no more because of our age. Thank you and Blessings to you and yours.😊
Thanks! Much appreciated!
I’ve been exploring the Ozark National Forest for over a year now. Because of this video I’ve decided to definitely spend time in the Ouachita on this trip.
You definitely should. Lots to explore in the Ouachita Forest.
@@DispersedCamperMan Mapped out a loop and leaving in a couple of weeks. Appreciate your videos homie!
👍👍👍
Thank you for the good review. I am thinking of purchasing either the Lacros Thunder or a Cyclone. What would really help with my decision after watching your video is to know your height. You are able to sit on the sit and have your feet pretty much flat on the ground as well as standing over the bike with ease. I’m thinking at 5’9” and a bit over 200 lbs that I might high center over the bike, as well as not being able to touch the ground once seated. So if you are willing, your height at least would be great to know so I can better decide. Thanks for your help.
Hey! I'm 6'1" 200lbs. The bikes seat height is adjustable. Adjusted it a couple of times to get a good fit for me. I do have the bikes seat raised several inches in this video. I found it real comfortable riding it. The Lacros website says this bike is suitable for people who are 5‘3’‘-6’5‘’. Hope this helps.
@@DispersedCamperMan Thanks for the reply. Do you know anyone who has ordered from this company? Just wondering about customer service, etc.
I do not. All I can say is they responded to me within 24 hrs via email. The bike shipped quick.
@@DispersedCamperMan Thank You…Good to know. Just one more question…What is your inseam measurement?
Wow! Looks like a great bike!
It is!
Looks like a sweet spot for the upcoming fall season
It was. I was going to do a video on that spot, but folks were showing up off and on through out the day at the swimming hole. I'll be back later this year to do one.
Thanks
Welcome
Great review, very nice bike!
Thanks! 👍
Nice, I think I'll get one of these. Be great biking around campground, to shower and such.
It would.
They can't steal the battery unless they steal the whole bike. 🤭
Correct.
What a nice e-bike! I’m a tall guy and that would suit me well. Thanks for sharing this review.
No problem 👍
