That is a very clear description of how to sharpen drill bits, I have recently got myself a new set of bits, and you notice the difference with the 4 facit edges, thanks for making the video, I feel more confident when making this purchase

You would have to work yourself to death to make a living sharpening drill bits for prox. $2 ea. For $10 I can get a brand new one. Too much jig (fixture?) adjusting.

Unnecessarily complicated design. The drill bit holder in itself doesn't make any sense.

Hi,👋 HAPPY NEW YEAR 🥳, from a very long time ago, 😂, I purchased one of these when they first came out many years ago, it’s well worth the money, I have even used the long track, to put pinholes in the side of casements for adjustable shelving, using the jig that you have to buy separately, Like all good machinery, it comes at the price, I have got quite a few of their machines, from MAFELL , Jigsaw, Doorlock mortis machine, Chain mortis machine, Duo Doweller DD, And of course, they are large, Mafell router Lo 65 Ec, and jig Arunda 80”, I have used the machines for the best part of 20 years, never had a problem with any of them, apart from obviously sharpening the chain and bits, I did, and still have another make Festool router, which I tried to use on the ARUNDA jig and it did not seem man enough to do the job, I am hoping to purchase their new Lo55, at some point, though I do wish it was cordless, I am now retired and 72yy , now living in France after nearly 50 years, I work for myself in the UK, I am getting bored, and I am thinking of starting a small little business, making and restoring furniture, hopefully sometime this year, the main reason why I would like to get myself the new LO 55 is that I’m hoping to do some spiral work on my Wood-lathe, and this would be more suitable as it is a smaller cross-section, for me to make something to hold it, I hope this piece of information helps somebody either now or in the future, Phil from the moulin France .

Great review. I have an AFC model but i prefer using it with a bag. The manual indicates that with a bag AFC must be switched off, however it still goes on automatically, and has to be manually switched on on every restart of the machine. Anybody know a way to permanently switch off AFC?

As an electrician that does strictly remodels this is an absolute essential tool. kzread.infoUgkx0vyBwjtx9GGOuiqUVT2sRoYqmDoNT_RI Being able to precision cut any material with a light weight tool is priceless.I upgraded to this Dewalt 20v from a competitor's 12v. The Dewalt 20v is just as light as the competitor's 12v. I am extremely pleased with the overall performance and battery life of this tool. As far as oscillators go, they just aren't very ergonomic tools. The dewalt oscillators have an offset handle that do make them somewhat more ergonomic than the competitors' oscillators.

You do have to spend some time setting the saw up... blade, fence, etc. But once done, the saw is great. Fairly compact which is Nice kzread.infoUgkxXh-4_3-ZT1fFWP91ZV7iVqzElr0lEb-a I did get an Incra Miter Gauge which takes some setup as well. The stock miter gauge can be adjusted in the miter slot with a little painter's tape... this tightens up the side to side play a lot.

I was really surprised how much cutting power (and torque) this saw had out of the box. I've used other (10" saws) previously and was pretty surprised with the speed and cutting ability of this Dewalt saw.I have bolted mine to a table to minimize movement which I highly recommend. This is a Great saw kzread.infoUgkxPeGkHOMe05FySypTOvYumxMn-xi39oRe with a light to see your cutting line (not a laser line).I'd recommend this saw fro anyone looking to upgrade from a 10" miter saw.

@@CONEHEADDK that sounds like a concrete nailer, which is really expensive. The usual way is to drill a hole with a hammer drill, than push a fitting dowel into that hole and the screw with a screwdriver. I did a million times, it's cheap, easy and reliable

My Makita is a piece of junk burns through fuel waaaaaaayyyyyy too fast and also I was having trouble with the revs I tried to take it back to get my money back but found out that Makita has a one year limited warranty so if they want to give you your money back they can but they don't like to and wont as that's the catch. Also my grandmother can pedal harder than my Makita can cut wood. Just get a push bike put it over the log and get granny to sit on it and pedal and in about three hours your log will be cut. Makita Chain saw put fuel in it start and no guts. I put more fuel through it than I cut timber not made for Australian Market maybe for countries that don't need firewood as a necessity!

  • @elbuggo

Some decent 1/2" drill bit costs about $10. So you need to sharpen it 26 times to get your money back for this investment. The investment can also sharpen knives, axes and succors, and lots of other tools too.

More amd more worktops are being made with Square edges, so masons mitre not required. I have just fitted my worktop. I used a new 35mm forstner bit and my circular saw set at the right depth to cut the boltholes. Cut sink and hob. Worktop joint is good and I sealed it with Unika colorfil.
