Hello, I'm NZREngine, I'm a railway enthusiast from Wellington, New Zealand who films and photographs Trains for you to enjoy!
On this channel you will see video content of KiwiRail freight and passenger trains around the NZ railway network, mainline steam and diesel heritage trains, private heritage railways and more.
Enjoy! :)

Interestingly I used to cycle to Belgrave as a kid, things were much less congested back then and the area that Puffing Billy operates in was very isolated from Melbourne - not so now. I returned and took the trip a few years ago, the railway is a gem in terms of industrial history and understanding the pre-modern logging industry. As always, great footage and good filming locations.
FANTASTIC, FANTASTIC video my good and dear friend, it really is fantastic 🤩🤩🤩🤩. Like 31 👍!!!!!!
I was on Car F to Woodville, very enjoyable and before I saw it at Levin and also doing the River City express next year
Great long massive trains..... but no Guard's van. should they not have one ?
Really nice audio quality, I love it, 👍
What is that song song called
Great video!
thank you!
Late comment, but did this go past Napier?
Went to Takapau which is south of Napier
@@NZREngine oh yep.
Loved the video mate. Particularly the closing shot, was a pleasant surprise to see my car
Another great video of Steam Inc. Is 345 newly restored or borrowed.
Answered that its 1431
@@woodliceworm4565 yeah. she is only been done up as 345 for fun since she is due for a repaint later on this year
I know this is completely unrelated, but I just can't hold it in. I feel terribly sorry for the poor creatures' lives and peace being destroyed by these monsters. Im not a train hater or anything, but they ruin the peace and quiet for those living out their.
Ah, trains, music to my ears🗿🗿🗿
DFT are really called EMD GT22. We have a lot of them in Argentina and even more powerfull versions called GT26
Great Video, thanks for sharing
Great Video, Nice to see the EF in pristine condition, thanks for sharing
Great Video!
Cheers
Amazing shots!
Thank you!
Heaps of great shots.... The Bell 7: 15😆
The restored EF looks great.
Thank you! Such a relaxing video. The running sounds are silky smooth compared to steam and diesel, or electric-hauled freights. Was it a tougher chase, given the relative peppiness of the EF?
Cheers. Yeah was slightly tougher chase similar to freight but thanks to the station stopping we got ahead easily enough!
Loved every moment really impressed. Thank you
Cheers
Great clear photography great locations as well, in fact, locations worthy of modelling. Great to see the reconditioned/renewed EF locos in action - a credit to Kiwirail.
Been a long time since a EF doing a passenger train
Great video, some good shots in this one. It was a great day had by all.
Cheers
Awesome!

Simply awesome. Fantastic variety of locations with beautiful countryside. Appreciated this.
Nice one mate 👍🇳🇿
I remember that train from. my childhood 👍🇳🇿
A good knowledge of where to get great video shots.
depressing tonnage on the main trunk that's for sure
Great locations - good weather and skylines as usually great photography and sound.
nice pans 🍳
Thank you
JA1271 is a beautiful engine. Steam Inc have kept her in wonderful condition for so long. Hopefully Mainline Steam can get a few of their J's and K's (looking at you KB968) back up and running sometime soon
I'm guessing that the Eurodual eletrodiesel models will be classified as ED class, not to be confused with the original English Electrics formerly used in Wellington, Euro9000's as EM's and Vectrons as VF's.
New Stadler-built DM class diesel locomotives are coming to NZ and also, Kiwirail also planning on buying Stadler-built Eurodual electrodiesel locomotives and Euro9000 electric locomotivies, and Siemens-Built Vectron electric locomotives, when futher parts of rail network (including the lines between Hamiton and Tauranga, between Auckland and Whangarei and in the South Island) gets electrified, as well as the North Island Main Trunk.
The engine sounds like our class 37 locomotive engine. Looks nicely restored
Nice variety of shots
Cheers bro
Nice stuff!
Thanks!
As always great photography and well thought out locations
FANTASTIC, FANTASTIC video my good and dear friend, it is really fantastic 🤩🤩🤩🤩. Like 10 👍!!!!!!!
