Fr like I was taking my horse to the vet for a teeth float and a person that was there after us was talking to us and he said he halter broke a mustang once (cuz we were on the topic of mustangs then) and the “method” he used was running the horse around until it fell over, then when it fell over he would jump on it and put the halter down n his face. The horse that he was doing that to DIED OF A FREAKING HEART ATTACK!!! I was so mad I literally just stopped talking to him like what the heck?! Some people are just crazy 😡

Hi im curently training a horse that has been broken in in a troumatising way. This resulted in him being really really spooky to the point you cant even put in or off his rug. We gave him rest and now i want to start from the beginning entirely. He is the sweetest boy ever and he really enjoys grond work and is really good at it. But stil him being this spooky is a big problem. He is after almost two years finaly starting to trust some humans but the spookynes didnt change therefor i figured its gonna be a loooong ride til we can ride him. Does enyone have expirience with this kind of horses and tips for how to do this? We would both really apreciate any help and tips❤ Eddit: when he came to us he was really underwaigt amd you could always (still btw) see the white in his eyes

My gelding was abused with spurs when he was smaller so now I am really careful with spurs and only wear them once in a while because I don’t have rough feet.

2:08 I started riding when I was 8 and I was the opposite when I got to the cantering level (like a year and a half later) I literally told my trainer “CAN I GO BACK TO TROTTING THIS IS TOO SPEEDY” and she went “your not even cantering yet right now your only extended trot why don’t you speed up” yeah that was a scary time lol

My first lesson my trainer literally told me “you’re not tacking, cleaning, or riding today. You’re going to do ground work and watch me tack and clean the horse and I’ll show you how to do it” I love her so much!
