Zara took to the water like a Labrador pup! I recall seeing a guy fishing a stream on a horse. He'd cast a few times and if no bites, ride upstream and try again. I'm thinking "Fishing Guide" would look good on Zara's resume. 😉 I love any place with sandy banks and clear water, minus the trash. (Littering hillbilly pigs.. 🤬!!!) Overall, what a great experience for Zara and she was such a champ!

you both give me hope, and have inspired me. i have a two year old mustang from Eagle ridge too..he’s a bit of a challenge. i want to take him on trails, i think he would really enjoy it, and it would help with his confidence.amazing job.

I don't have a horse. I take lessons on a bay Arabian mare :) and I'm planning to ask my instructor if for one lesson we can go on a trail ride on the property. Not sure if she'll want to as she'd have to get out and tack up a second horse, or that she'd feel I'm ready to handle Curley outside but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Curley doesn't get to go on trail rides normally (that's all she used to do in her previous career) as she has a packed lesson schedule. So I think she'd enjoy getting out of the arena. And I'd love to have that experience/memory with her.

she hasn't had any introduction to the saddle yet so it'll be from ground zero! Which is great. I'm taking it slow with her though, I have alot of other things I'd like her to be able to do and feel comfortable with before we venture to saddle training. But as soon as I feel like she is ready we will be!!

Was very impressed with her being ponied by the truck. Aside from being in the trailer, what’s her experience being around cars/trucks? Do you drive around the farm in close proximity often?

I love camping and riding mountain trails. One day I would like to do some or all of the Pacific Crest Trail on horseback. But I live on the east coast… So that’s a long haul just to get there with my boy.

Fun video! She sure loves the water! I'd love to go back to when I was a kid and we would ride the horses in and dive off them. That was fun for all. A very long time ago. Lol.

I would give anything to swim with my horse!! Only problem is I don’t have a horse at the moment. When I get my next horse a beach ride is definitely a goal

What did you did to her mane! I remember she have a medium curly mane but now, she start to have a unicorn mane Here in Quebec many horse rider like to go on shore of the Fleuve-St-Laurent and i never go there and thats a place i want to go with my stud

It’s the first time so better to be over cautious in case something happened. Better to be on a lead rope the first time because you don’t know what’ll happen because you can control the horse better in case something did happen. Much better to introduce more freedom when you know how the horse will react
