  Orange County I used to live there before moving to Japan 2019 ! I miss Orange County , I was in Newport Beach, Irvine/ Costa Mesa area I loved it it was a nice time but now I Live in Japan which is also nice too!

  I have the opportynity to be STHM but prefer working because I feel more stressed staying at home, cooking, cleaning and not using my mind. I dont know how you can develop skills while stayong at home? Your brain literally atrophies and you can talk only for homemaking. Your circle is only of women who also dont work and I dont want that for myself, I dont feel mentally okay that way. Keep in mind not everyone lives in the States so the situation with maternity leaves and childcare and work are totally dofferent. I am from Bulgaria and here we have 2 years paid maternity leave + 1 year non-paid but the employer keeps your job and cant fire you. Also, our emplyment laws are better for the employee rather than the employer, we cant get fired just like that, you have 1-2 months notice and actually no one is fired here, it is not a practice because of the law. We work 8 hours per day and are paid fixed monthly salary and not being paid hourly. It is forbidden to work on 2 places cuz you will lack work-life balance. Overtime is not typical here, people finish job at 5 or 6 and then live their lives. Kjndergarden is until 7 and you can easily go after work to pick up your child. If is so much better both parents to work and then spend quality time together rather than only the woman taking care of EVERYTJING and the man constantly missing chz he is working for two people. As someone whose father worked like that and missed almost every birthday and aignificant event, I would prefer being raised by both my parents and mot only my mom. If the mother was the only important, we would not need a man and a woman to have a family. Both parents are equally important and chindren need both. I would never be STHM cuz it is detrimental for my mind and I did not feel okay in the two years of motherhood. I love my job, I an not stressed cuz of it, it gives me adrenaline, satisfaction and fulfilment and I would mot trade that for cooking and cleaning and doing laundry. I havent dreamt as a child to be a housekeeper and being paid by my husband to take care of the house, thanks. I havent spent 6 years studying to leave everythibg behind and being taken care of my husband like I am a trophy and cant take care of myself or my only ability is to base a cake. Every woman takes care of her children, cooks, cleans etc and many even work. So I would not be proud if the only thing I did in my whole life was staying at home and taking care of the children. Btw, when they start schoo, what am I supposed to do? Clean the house 10 times a day? It is ridiculous... Also, i dont know how you are will use your skills after yeRs of staying home and not using them. The world is constantly changing and evolving plus you just lose the ability if not practiced often. Lastly, the comments saying if sth happens with your husband, the you can marry again just to be taken care of are awful. So I am about to give birth and marry all my life cuz I am like a dog and must be taken care of?! And I dont have to look for love and respect but of aomeone who would take care of me and my children who must have money? Awful...

  I am a single mom and I been all alone with my daughter for the last 7 years no dating ,no man and I am all proud about that. I love working but if I ever find my soul mate I would be okay either way, continue working or be stay home wife and taking care of my family if my husband is okay to make money and provide for our family. When two mutually agree what works best for the family just go with the flow , love and respect is the way to go ❣🙏🌸🍀
