The problem with Medium is... 99% of articles involve zero interactions with the outside world. Just some person deciding to write something and spending half an hour or so writing it. All in their head. I expect better if I'm going to pay for it.
I'm not too fond of a follow-unfollow method. I am medium writer and I see there are some writers who follows me and then after some days they unfollow me!!! Why would someone do that. It's such an unprofessional thing. Medium is not a social media platform like TikTok where you do such kind of things. Be professional. And, Medium should also not allow someone to unfollow you for some period of time.

The system prompt for writing character rich stories and sex scenes is different. I can get really raunchy crazy stuff from the AI... But nuance is tough. I'd use 2 different system prompts to write the scene.

Well, if I were a business and my fucking ads for my fucking product we’re being played on these bullshit videos on these bullshit accounts I would go after youtube... legally. Power to the people...even more to businesses with money that ban together against shit like this! Now, something STILL does not add up! Couple hundred thousand views? That ain’t shit! Seemingly normal videos on KZread that you do NOT have to hunt for are getting 10’s of millions of views with NO demonetizable content and they’re made by BOTS! fucking AI voice overs and thumbnails that ALL look the same! Then you go to their account and every goddamned video and thumbnail image is designed exactly the same! One account will be all science related. You watch the videos and the whole fucking thing is a compilation of stock footage of outer space for example. And the voiceover is the most obvious bot voice and just states the obvious throughout the video! That video, millions upon millions of views! The payout would be FAR greater! With none of the convoluted mess of driving traffic to their bullshit videos and accounts! These videos are not made by a human, it’s all AI generated. Far easier than what you’re suggesting these other rabbit hole accounts are doing! Which means, WHY?! there isn’t enough money in that method. The a fore mentioned by me makes far greater sense, far greater revenue, no controversy (except being bot bullshit) to demonetize, with far less effort! So the question then still stands, WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON!

Started posting fiction on Medium again and the following is a slow but growing and it feels amazing. Not earning yet but I'm ok with growing naturally. I agree that selling creative work is harder. I've been experimenting with creative nonfiction and lyrical essays to weave my interests more outward. I would tell any creative writer like me that there's a way to bridge the gap! Just a little research and inspiration. Poets and writers magazine has a feature where you can look for the kind of magazine that match your writing style. I always get a ton of ideas from them.

It has a chapter about discovering new words which you reminded me of. Another favorite of mine is Daniel Pennac’s Reads Like a Novel.
